Karabukspor climbed to third place in the Turkish Spor Toto Super League as they beat Galatasaray
2-1.
Karbukspor stunned Galatasaray by taking a second-minute lead, Florin Cernat tucking away a
penalty, and they pulled two goals clear after 11 minutes when Hakan Ozmert drilled home from 15
yards with the aid of a major deflection.
Who would it thought Trabzonspor would move to the second place in the Turkish Super League this
weekend?

A statement released by the club this morning reads thusly;
"As a result of talks with technical director Frank Rijkaard, we have decided to
part ways.
Following a shameful third-place finish last season and an underwhelming start to this season's
Super Lig campaign, the Galatasaray hierarchy have decided to draw a decisive line under coach
Frank Rijkaard's ill-fated 16 months in charge today.
A statement released by the club this morning reads thusly;
"As a result of talks with technical director Frank Rijkaard, we have decided to
part ways.
We had an abysmal start this season. We were eliminated from the Europa League in the
qualification round. We now sit at a lovely 9th place on the table, and just lost to the likes of
Ankaragucu and Karabukspor. Our Derby with Fenerbahce is only 4 days away and to avoid more
humiliation something needed to be done.
