Touting "economically viable, sustainable model," USL set to debut women's pro league
Charles Boehm reports for The Soccer Wire that the USL is set to put together a professional
women's league, the "W-PRO" (homepage with a little animation).
This is obviously fantastic news for us Sounders fans, as Seattle has become home to seemingly
half the U.
Landon Donovan's moment, in animation.
Albert Lanzillo drew over 250 individually drawn frames to recreate Landon Donovan's winner in
stoppage time that ensured the United States would not be knocked out of the World Cup. Inspired by
Richard Swarbrick's work, the result is brilliant.
Glen Johnson committed a two-footed lunge against Manchester City in Wednesday night's first leg of
the Carling Cup semi-final. However, the tackle (see above animation), which was far worse than the
one that Vincent Kompany committed against Nani...

The Clásico of the future on Pro Evolution Soccer 2022?
It's already kind of getting to us. I know, I know, Real Madrid vs Barcelona isn't until
Saturday, but study breaks are already being filled with mock Clásicos on FIFA 12.
Mario Balotelli von Manchester City ist ja inzwischen bekannt für seine Eskapaden und Skandale. So

You know you've arrived as a major global star when you get the infamous Taiwanese viral
animation treatment.
The ubiquitous Mario Balotelli is the latest star to feature in these bizarre videos produced by
NMA.tv, after enjoying a few weeks of fabulous football, fireworks and frivolity.
Very nice animation for Wayne Rooney famous bicycle kick vs. Manchester City
And another wonderful piece of animation for Gareth Bale exceptional performance vs. Inter Milan in
2011 Champion League
Wicked cool stuff from Mr. Swarbrick of Gareth Bale also-cool-animation fame.

Stumbled across this little gem while watching the Audi Cup on ITV4 last night: Wayne Rooney's
glorious shinner-winner against Man City last season, re-rendered and animated beautifully (as
ever) by Richard Swarbrick on behalf of The Currant Bun.
It was like a right foot with an explosion, but with the timing and beauty of the
gods
Richard Swarbrick adds to his Gareth Bale and El Clásico collection with yet another brilliant
animation, this time covering last year's Premier League goal of the season. That spectacular
bicycle kick from Wayne Rooney.
Real talent.

- Average EPL success. (The Best Eleven)
- On the home continent. (AFR)
- No need to watch. (The Carvalho Peninsula)
- Just a great summer all around in LL. (La Liga Loca)
- Wayne Rooney's bike in animation. (EPL Talk)
- No boom here.
This may have been one of the best goal celebrations ever.
(the animation comes courtesy of Sounder at Heart commenter Brian L)
Roger Levesque did this celebration last night after his goal against the New York Red Bulls.
The Plunge or the Dive, whatever you call it was brillent.

In light of the recent developments concerning Ryan Giggs and his alleged trysts with his brother's
now wife, the good folks and Taiwan went back to the drawing board to bring us this:

Those good folk over at EA Sports have just released the briefest of FIFA 12 teasers, with a
glimpse into the revamped 'player collision engine' (it uses 'simulation' rather than 'animation'
don't you know?) that they hope will render the latest game in the FIFA series look and feel more
bone-crunching-er than ever before.

This Taiwanese animation lampoons the Giggs affair and makes the salient point. Be afraid, very
afraid of censoring the internets (sic). Because it will blow up in your face. If only
Giggs had been more savvy he would have taken heed of the Streisand effect.
Those animators in Taiwan are at it again, this time the present us with the news swirling around
Ryan Giggs.
Richard Swarbrick's animation of Barcelona 5 - 0 Real Madrid from Monday, November 29, 2010
