"You see this smile on my face? It's only for the cameras, ok? I genuinely despise
you"
Currently doing a spot of pre-season training in Spain with new club Shanghai Shenhua, Le Sulk,
Nicolas Anelka, has described the hell he had to endure during his final days at Chelsea.
News from Singapore that one of the ex Arsenal trainees who joined Geylang United has been dropped
before he could kick a ball in anger.
Oliver Nicholas came over to Singapore to take part in trials conducted by the Singapore Football
Association along with several other hopefuls and Geylang must have seen enough because they signed
him up.
Jeff Parke Trying To 'Keep Frustration And Anger Down' Over His Benching
Many have asked about Jeff Parke's situation. On Wednesday, he talked to the media about it He's
definitely not happy.

Remember kids. Smoking is bad. It rots your lungs, prematurely ages your skin and due to
recently implemented non-smoking legislation, can cause hair frizzing as you stand outside in the
rain.
Now, John Terry might have made our hair curl in the past with his nefarious lady-bothering
activities, and even caused the odd bout of breathlessness when his shorts get clingy, but so far
he hasn't aged us.
Andrei Arshavin has been supported by manager Arsene Wenger after his lazy man-marking and
tackling against Luis Antonio Valencia created Danny Welbeck's match-winning goal in Manchester
United's 2-1 win at Arsenal last night.
Arshavin, who infamously replaced Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to a negative reaction throughout the
Emirates Stadium, has been on the receiving end of tremendous flak for lacking energy in such a
massive fixture.
After the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at the Emirates on Sunday, I was emailing with a
friend who has been an Arsenal season ticket holder since the ‘70s. He knows infinitely more
about the team than I do, so I figured I'd let him speak in his own words. (My email comments
inserted for clarity of what questions/comments he's responding to.

Le Toux talks
It just won't stop.
As suggested by the 130 readers' comments posted on PSP in less then 24 hours since the Le Toux
transfer news broke, if the sadness felt by Union fans at the news of Sebastien Le Toux's transfer
to Vancouver wasn't enough, subsequent comments from Peter Nowak and Le Toux will, for many, see
that sadness turn to anger.
Regular readers of this blog will know that neither of the two D words in the headline are those
I ever use about Arsenal, or anything connected with this great club. Optimistic and defensive in
the extreme, I'm not one for reactionary anger, at least inwardly (opposition and incompetent
officials are a different story), preferring attempts to rationalise and find mitigating reasons
for the bad days.
Imagine you owned two professional sports teams. Let's call them Team A and Team B. Imagine your
two professional sports teams played in the same venue. Now you're probably going to post some
signage on the outside of the stadium to let the population know who plays there, right? You
wouldn't be silly enough to hang a sign that reads, "Home of Team A" and completely omit Team B
would you?
The 2012-13 Arsenal home shirt was leaked yesterday and no matter how you look at it, you cannot
avoid the obvious fact: it looks like it belongs to Manchester United. More specifically the
2010-11 away jersey.
Perhaps this is a new strategy for Arsenal seeking a bit of luck in claiming their first piece
of silverware since 2005.
I may have been a little hasty to dare criticise Chelsea's Champions League triumph and the quite
delectable way in which this fine football club has been managed under the fine and principled
leadership of the most benevolent of dictators, Roman Abrahmovich. I have to say that my original
article was just a sarcastic piece, intended to whip up anger in all those idiots who would dare to

Boom! Back in the saddle after a week in the wilderness (well, 'Scotland' to give it it's Latin
name) and a couple of brief flirtations with death on the rather blustery drive home in the wee
small hours of this morning. It's good to be home/alive.
After being cut off from the rest of civilisation for the past few days, I thought I'd kick-off
the new year with the only football-related thing I've been exposed to in 2012 this video of an
anonymous football fan, clearly irked by a shonky performance, attempting to take out his anger on
a stadium seat and losing out badly.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish defiant over Luois Suarez ban for racially abusing
Patrice Evra
Liverpool's anger at the outcome of the Suárez hearing continued to simmer after the defeat to
Manchester City, with manager Kenny Dalglish alluding to a lack of transparency within the
commission's findings.
With the news coming yesterday afternoon from Jesus Ortiz on the Chronicle that Brian Ching will
not retire and will report to Montreal Impact camp when it opens, the ant bed that is Dynamo fandom
was again stirred with a stick. Reaction varied from renewed anger towards Jesse Marsch to clever
theories about when Ching will have to have season ending surgery that sticks the Impact with his
large salary for the season.
Glen's in good Kompany terrible tackle by soccermr With a huge degree of inevitability following
Vincent Kompany's red card at the weekend, a Manchester City was on the receiving end of a
two-footed challenge in last night's match against Liverpool. And it went unpunished. Glen Johnson
dived into a challenge with Joleon Lescott.
Winter of discontent Former Premier League referee Jeff Winter has got a few questions to answer
this morning after a strange sectarian article appeared on his official website. Winter has been
blogging his travels around Australia and New Zealand over the festive period. But one of the blog
posts takes a very peculiar take on [.
Ah weel fro ze gloves in your general deerecshon OTP isn't quite sure if this response was prompted
by the Shaun Derry foul that forced Yohan Cabaye off the pitch during Newcastle's match against

Yes, I know I missed the Superdraft. I have midterms this week so, yeah, I've been more than a
little busy.
Yes, I know you forgive me.
I'll be back by next week. Promise.
I mean, come on though. What "analysis and opinion" can we give about the Draft? They picked
players, and we won't see them in action until March.
Sacrificial lamb?
The fallout from the defeat to Swansea has been dire and depressing. The "Wenger OUT!!"
brigade has come out in full force after going into hiding for a good few months now. Granted, they
had no reason to voice their concern during that period. What with the wins that we kept racking up
and the continual move up the table.
You'll like this. The difference between success and failure in football can be minute you
need every edge you can get. And when you think about it, so much of football is in the mind. We
talk about teams playing with confidence: that's a mental state. We talk about players looking
nervous, or not knowing what they're supposed to be doing, or playing tentatively, or showing
complacency.
Football is supposed to be a glamourous career. Scoring goals in front of adoring fans and all that
crap. Not if you're name is Khairul Amri it ain't though.
The poor bastard spends most of his time injured. He's 27 in March, should be at the peak of his
powers but guess what? He's gonna be out for the next 12 weeks with another injury.
As if today's disappointing result wasn't enough to elicit anger, we now have news that a
section of Chelsea supporters were reported to authorities after allegedly making racist remarks
about Anton Ferdinand as they were traveling back from Norfolk via train.
Chelsea Football Club is concerned to hear that a small number of fans travelling back by train
from Norwich were alleged to be involved in racist chants and comment.
Rumour doing the rounds that this is the new Arsenal away kit for next season. Hope not. Clearly
the Nike designers have given a nod to the blackcurrent kit we wore for a season at Highbury a few
years back.
I prefer good old yellow and blue but these days kits are all about revenue and this could be
our new away top, with the stripes used for marketing purposes and to allow a shirt to double up as
a leisure top.
The long substitution
It's finally confirmed, the news that we did not want to hear. That Jack Wilshere has had a
setback and would not be available in the date that we initially had hoped he would be back for. AC
Milan's games were touted as his return period but that will now have to be extended.
How bad was Wolves' 3-0 home loss to Liverpool on Tuesday? Andy Carroll scored the match's
opening goal. That's how bad. It was his first league goal since October. Liverpool scored two more
second half goals to leave Wolves with 18 points from 23 matches and slumped over at 19th in the
table.
Yesterday in a comment on here I said that passion is not equivalent to anger. Once you start
confusing the two, people begin using the notion to justify all sort of idiocy. I was looking for a
way to make my point [...] Read the original post on Pissing Red
Blackburn's Junior Hoilett does his best Scuba-Diving impression against Newcastle last night
and not only does he get away scot free, his opponent Ryan Taylor is given a yellow card for
venting his anger. It's time the FA stood up and banned this type of behaviour once and for
all!
We thought it'd be appropriate to spend a few minutes of today to send our thoughts and prayers
out to the families of Egypt's football tragedy last night. Contrary to popular
beliefs, we all know that football shouldn't be a matter of life and death. Lives can't be taken
away out of one's anger at the scoreline of a match.
You could be looking at the Annual Congregation of Munich's Santa Clauses,
except this photo would've been only complete if Mario Gomez joined the bench
instead of looking down at them! During Bayern's 1-1 draw against Hamburg over the weekend, there
was a lot of frustration and anger from all corners of the club.
Welcome to English football in 2012. The captain of the national team faces a criminal charge
for the use of racially aggravated abuse during a Premier League match. Five months after the
event, the FA announce that this player will be stripped of the captaincy without, it would appear,
having consulted the manager.
Liverpool's management had seen and heard enough. Kenny Dalglish's head in the sand post match
interview coming on the heels of Luis Suarez's dastardly snub of Patrice Evra's handshake were
considered damaging enough for their MD, Ian Ayre, to come out condemning their striker.
In particular, Suarez's promise to shake hands with Evra made earlier in the week and then
reneging caused much anger.

- This week the Fire will travel to Charleston and compete in their first competition. We will
probably see the team looking a little more like game day than before. Hopefully we see answers to
alot of the questions that have been asked by critics, like me.
- According to many reports these past few days, Adolfo "El Bofo" Bautista has been rumored to be
coming to the Fire.
Everyone's culpable
It is widely known that Arsenal has the biggest presence on social medias. Which is also
particularly why it's sometimes very hard to be on any social network after an Arsenal defeat.
Especially in a week where we were trounced in a Champions League away match and knocked out of the
FA Cup in a space of 3 days.
For me last year, or was it the year before, Taisuke Akiyoshi (pictured left scoring for SAFFC
against Sengkang Punggol in 2010) was one of the most exciting players in the SLeague playing for
SAFFC. Unfortunately he couldn't keep his early season form going all year and faded.
But other noted his potential and after being released by SAFFC he has now signed for Bulgarian
side Slavia Sofia.
Well, that was quite a game. A poor start was followed by an absolute rout, and the only
disappointment by the end was that we didn't put six past spurs. Thoughts as follows:
* I'm not going to lie - I was bemused by the team selection when I first saw it. I was fully
expecting Gervinho to play, and was hoping to see the Ox as well.
Come in No.26, your time is up. As Mark Twain once said after his obituary had been published
in the New York Times, 'Reports of my death have been widely exaggerated'. So too the end of
Ledley's career has been widely and often forcast. Such predictions will inevitably come true one
day. Has the time arrived?
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has snapped up Luton Town winger Tarum Dawkins. Well, we say snapped
up but he apparently signed three months ago but the it has only just been confirmed for some
reason.
Dawkins trained with Steve Gatting's Under 16s in the summer before Wenger sanctioned the
recruitment of the teenager, who was also on Chelsea's radar.
UPDATE: A reminder that Steve's memorial is tomorrow. You can donate to his memorial
Melanoma Research Fund online, and cash donations at the memorial will be matched up to $5,000 by
Sounders FC.

Last week a Sounder supporter passed on the way to watch the team face Jaguares de Chiapas.
The first anger after the game have given way for the usual disappointment and despair. It's not a
good idea to write abut the game when still upset and angry, even if it's probably more interesting
to read, because your senses gets distorted by the sentiment in action. Yesterday I wouldn't be
able to write [.
