Newcastle United Lettering

Well over the past month Newcastle United have had reason to complain with Mike Ashley and the board, firstly renaming the stadium, secondly failing to bring a number 9 in, but his latest stunt must be the last straw.

Ashley has shown time and time again he is not a football chairman but rather a businessman, though I am not saying this matters as these days it doesn't seem like it matters as the two have become mutually exclusive.

It’s (City) Groundhog Day again!

I was on holiday when Billy Davies was sacked and although I, like the LTLF editor, was shocked and disgusted that the club could treat an employee like that, by the time I had returned to my computer he had been replaced by Steve McClaren. My anger still hadn't completely subsided, but I decided to give the new boss a chance before I vented my spleen on this website [.

That means you Ty HardenThe seemingly never-ending transfer/ roster freeze/ trade/ beaver pelt barter system that is MLS player transactions finally came to a close today... we think. Either way, it gave Toronto FC a chance to do one last little piece of business - a seemingly straightforward defender-for-defender swap which sees Dasan Robinson, who was apparently a member of TFC, go to Los Angeles Galaxy for Kyle Davies.

What a ridiculous match.

Is it possible for a match to be so frustrating and anger-inducing, yet also encouraging? The inability to finish still fills me with rage, and that Torres miss. I just... I can't even. Speechless.

I could whine about the fact that two of their goals were offside so it should have been a 1-1 draw, but it also could have been 2-1 to us if Ramires and Torres had scored, and it could have been different if Rooney hadn't missed the penalty, so it's futile for me to complain right now.

If Canberra is smart we could grab an A-League vacancy - soon.

The Capital doesn't have an A-League team, the FFA don't want the Capital, it can't be maintained with the Brumbies and Raiders and now GWS in the city.
You've heard it all before.
But when you step back from the emotion it's Canberra's intelligence that can and needs to get it over the line.

Why Arsene Wenger IS like a polar bear: they're both endangered species

Arsene Wenger shares the plight of the animal with which he so readily identifies. The Polar Bear may be the largest land predator, but it is an endangered species. Wenger is one of the big beasts, and he, too, remains strangely vulnerable.

Why Mancini now faces a career-defining decision over what to do with Carlos Tevez

Through his shock and his anger, Roberto Mancini said one thing loud and clear. That what Carlos Tevez did last night would never be tolerated at one of Europe's elite clubs like Bayern Munich, AC Milan or Manchester United.
