Is Ashley Cole the dumbest man on the planet. Fresh from England's disastrous World Cup
campaign in South Africa you would think this guy would lie low and keep his mouth shut, but no
Ashley Cole goes out of his way to irritate the English people further, some of which have stood by
him through thick and thin.
After Carlos Tevez signed for Manchester City the club bizarrely opted to put a 'Welcome to
Manchester' poster up in town as a dig to Manchester United fans. It was a strange move for a
football club to hire a London design agency and fork out loads of money just so they could wind up
opposing fans.
Yes, another reaction to the news that Charlie Davies won't be part of the 2010 World Cup, even in
the run up. The visceral response to the news, expressed as both anger and frustration by many...

Mmm, that is about as good as a modern kit with a sponsor's logo gets. It almost makes me
jealous of Arsenal fans who get to wear it. Almost.
The PR eco waffle: "Every shirt is made entirely from recycled polyester, crafted from up to
eight plastic water bottles as part of Nike's ‘Considered Design' programme, which sees discarded
plastic bottles diverted from landfills to be used in the manufacturing process.
Charlie Davies isn't happy about having missed out on the U.S. national team preliminary World
Cup roster and he's placing the blame for missing the United States World Cup training camp
squarely on his club team's handling of his situation.
Davies spoke with a national French radio program on Wednesday and slammed FC Sochaux president
Alexandre Lacombe for his actions, saying Sochaux kept him from joining the U.
Look at him. He's one of those referees who likes to make himself the centre of attention. Yes,
this is Carlos Simon and he is in charge of England vs Unites States. Expect him to do something
that will anger or annoy the entire country.
Watch his insanely smile whilst giving poor little Teddy Lucic a red card
I have a sneaky feeling that John Terry may get similar treatment, but that could be because I
am an extreme pessimist.
Sport culture seems to be the one discursive space in which we can declare that we were
robbed, that our team was cheated, that the game wasn't
fair - and we don't come off
as bitter or resentful. This sort of anger - at being kept out of the World Cup final's by
someone's handball, or being cheated of the three points awarded to a win by a rogue referee - is
perfectly allowed - a certain sense of injustice is in fact nursed into an art.
So it's finally happened and I just do not know how what to do with myself. On one hand my team is
signing bad-badasses like Thierry Henry and Rafa Marquez but on the other hand it Rafa cotdamn
Marquez. RBNY could use his talent (especially after this weekend's lax defending) and his marquee
value for sure but how the hell am I, a true-blue Yanks supporter, supposed to root for Rafa
f***ing Marquez?

Stuart James writes in the Guardian that Stephen Ireland, who joined Aston Villa this week as part
of the deal that took James Milner in the opposite direction, tore into everyone, from the manager
Roberto Mancini to the club's "money-obsessed" young players, as he revealed the full extent of his
anger at the way he has been treated.
Let's be clear about this. We didn't deserve to win this game. But, equally, we didn't deserve
to lose.
And what struck me most about the game was what a pathetic bunch of cheating babies the United
players are.
More about that in a moment, but first a word for Howard Webb:

Taken from an interview with Guillem Balague not too long ago, this is what Cesc Fabregas
said,
I don't like to give specific instructions, but sometimes you see something clearly, like a
teammate who isn't making a pass because he wants to do it on his own.

1. That was absolutely atrocious. Venting your anger might help, but it was so poor that I'm
struggling to find the enthusiasm to remind you all how bad it was. 2. A heartbreaking penalty
shootout defeat would have been absolute heaven, it really would. 3. Surely Sepp Blatter must be

In recent weeks AC Milan's black-belted striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has punted
teammate Rodney Strasser square in the ribs during training and
instigated a neck-grabbing training-ground dust up with teammate Oguchi
Onyewu after going in needlessly hard on the hefty American defender on his return from
injury.
A furious England fan breached security following the team's disappointing 0-0 draw against Algeria
on Friday and broke into the team's dressing room to make sure the players knew exactly how he
felt. According to reports, the fan barged into the England dressing room as several players were
changing and let those present - including injured Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham -
have a piece of his mind.

The launch of the HD channel and Fox Soccer Plus, while not by any means perfect, have been a major
plus. The announcement of the new Fox Soccer Tonight program is another good step for the
network.
You'll remember that extra kick Thierry Henry gave the ball last week, resulting in Kevin
Hartmann writhing in pain on the ground. The verdict came down and he was not suspended, but rather
fined what for him is a relatively insignificant amount, much to the anger of many in the Dallas
camp (peripheral camp, anyway).
Yesterday Sir Alex Ferguson had his say, today it was Wayne
Rooney.
In what is sure to add extra fire to the anger towards the Glazer ownership of
Manchester United, Rooney released a statement saying it was the future direction of the
team that is the reason behind his decision.
Perhaps it's obvious that today was not a successful day for posting news here at Kickette
Towers.

Never mind, we've got a lorryload of hot boys in suits doing good deeds at the First Annual gala
of Champions for Children Foundation in Milan last night.
Ever felt like you wanted a refund after watching your team get beaten bad? You spent your hard
earned money on those tickets, wasted your valuable time on the game, and lost your voice screaming
in futility as your side got stomped on. You deserve a refund, and in a perfect world you
would.
This guy, eh? Readers, I am furious. I'm beyond anger. I'm apoplectic with righteous rage. The
United States won that game. We scored three valid goals, while the Slovenians scored two, but

I was filled with anger during the game yesterday. Filled with anger towards Mick McCarthy for not
giving his players the best prerequisites to play against Everton. In my and later it seems also
McCarthy's own opinion we should have started with five men in midfield as our opponents did.

Different match, same scoreline, same outcome. I took as long as I can to write this review of the
game as I want to remove myself of any anger-induced comments. However this time it can't go away.

"I know your anger, I know your dreamsI've been everything you wanna be ohhh...I'm the Cult of
Personality" -- Living Colour, "Cult of Personality."Remember those amazing old stickers you'd see
around cities, "Andre the Giant Has a Posse?"Maybe we ought to amend it to Didier Drogba has a
posse. Or at least a cult.
My last two posts have undoubtedly been emotional. It's been over 48 hours since the horrific
injury to Aaron Ramsey and despite that fact I still feel the same way.
I'm still seething.
Despite the anger I have overlooked an important fact in this whole situation and I believe it
needs to be addressed.
Firstly, many thanks to the thousands of you that read yesterdays article and to the small minority
who left comments.
Secondly, i very rarely write response pieces to articles i write, but after reviewing how many
individuals have got their proverbial knickers in a twist about my critical approach to Mr Arsene
Wenger, i thought id clear a few things up.
Tevez is having his best season ever in Europe with 22 goals so far with Manchester

CARLOS TEVEZ EXCLUSIVE:
The Manchester City striker on football, family and foes...
EXCLUSIVE By Lee Clayton
Welcome to Manchester? Carlos Tevez was already there, swapping the red corner for the blue
corner last summer.
There was a mixture of disbelief, anger and pure frustration in my veins on Sunday. Having had some
time to reflect I feel we have learnt a lot about our players in recent weeks, some things learnt
have been good, others not, what is clear is that we do seem to have a clearer picture of what we
lack and what we need for next season.
No, you're not looking at Clash of the Interistis .. but for the love of
Materazzi, welcoming Inter from Barcelona was such a grand affair! Today, I
consoled a Barca chica who declared :"We fought to the end" and then you could see the anger
creeping up in her and quickly decided it was best to consult the dandelions instead.
Salford born Phil Bardsley joined Manchester United's academy when he was 8-years-old. Before
leaving Old Trafford in 2008, he was the only player in the first team squad who had progressed
through all the levels of our academy.
He was brought up near our old training ground, The Cliff, and used to go there during the
school holidays to watch his idols train.

South Africa's World Cup organising chief Danny Jordaan may ban vuvuzelas from inside
stadiums after complaints from broadcasters and supporters.
You have all heard them in every minute of every match so far during this World Cup. On a
website informing visitors about South Africa, www.safrica.info, describes the vuvuzelas as "a
beautiful noise for the beautiful game." It seems that they are one of very few that agree with
that statement after less than a week of matches.
... As tempted as I was to write about the US-Slovenia match in the moments after it finished, I
decided it would be better to wait until now and the regular nightly World Cup recap. Anything I
wrote in the wake of the conclusion to that match would have been unprofessional, too emotionally
driven to make sense, and wouldn't have had the quality required to post here.
Wazza gets angry with supporters Wayne Rooney vented his anger at booing England supporters as he
left the pitch following last night's disappointing 0-0 draw with Algeria. Rooney and his England
team-mates were booed off the pitch after the awful performance. But the Manchester United striker
took exception to the treatment and said into a nearby camera: [.
The French National Team players refused to participate in today's practice, and issued the
statement below explaining why:
With this statement, all players of French National Team, without exception, assert
their opposition to the decision taken by the French Football Federation to exclude Nicolas Anelka
from the squad.
The Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has found it hard to conceal his anger at being left on the bench
for Spain, while his (future) Barcelona midfield team-mates, Iniesta, and Xavi have made the
starting line-up as usual. "I will not say, 'I'm angry or I don't care about not playing',"
Fabregas told Sky Sports.
Make way for the Oranje and the Samba Kings in the World Cup quarterfinals. The Netherlands and
Brazil advanced comfortably Monday, while anger simmered over refereeing blunders and FIFA's
refusal to adopt video technology to eliminate them. Brazil brushed aside Chile 3-0 at Ellis Park
as it pushes for a sixth title, while the Netherlands eased into the last eight with a 2-1 win
against.

I'm not going to talk about tactics or players. My testosterone is balled up in a fit of
anger.
I have been writing a lot for the France WCB lately, but my consistency may cease a little. Not
because of this, but because I am moving to Auxerre, France next week, wish me luck!
