Kindra Lierz, Glendale GK, 3rd place game 2011 Class 3
Springfield Catholic and Glendale will focus on winning their final game of the season after
disappointing losses on Friday. Both teams played strong games but lost on late goals.
The Class 3 Final between Cor Jesu and Lee's Summit North will showcase a pair of great
individual talents in Allie Stephenson (KC) and Jenn Miller (STL).
The hoop-tastic USMNT were in fine form during their 5-1 demolition of Scotland, but one
American at Jacksonville's Everbank Field was notable for a disappointing performance. Singer
Victoria Zarlenga is no stranger to vocal patriotism, but she made Carl Lewis sound like a
euphonious chorus of angels with her unique take on The Star-Spangled Banner before kick-off.
At last the end is in sight, BBVA Compass Stadium is ready to open its doors to the world on
Saturday and things will never be the same. The skies will open, raise of light will shine upon us
and a chorus of angels will sing...alright, not really, but we're all excited and ready for the
weekend.
However, there is business to be taken care of tomorrow night in New Jersey as the Dynamo travel
to Red Bull Arena to face the New York Red Bulls in another important early season Eastern
Conference match-up.
Today we remember the 96 Liverpool fans who lost their lives at Hillsborough on the 15th April
1989.
No football fan should attend a football match and not return home to their loved ones.
As the independent Hillsborough panel continue to sift through the thousands of documents, here's
hoping we are edging closer to justice.
"The Angels sing, in his legs" Aldo Agroppi, Fiorentina 1985-1986
"His legend was not built on titles, but on moments "
There are legends for every club. Every Calcio side has it's own demi god, the faces and numbers
that are often as recognisable as the colours and stadia. They are [read more]
You know what they are going to do. You don't like it and wouldn't play that way if it meant 80
points a season, but that's what they are going to throw at us and if we're not prepared, it's down
to us.
I don't like it but I'm not going to go on about it because then I'll end up like Arsene
Whinger, always complaining about injustices that his precious little angels have to face when they
play those awful big boys from up north.
For all you football fans on Facebook, there is finally a game on the social media website that
will not only give you a realistic feel, but also allow you to connect with friends doing the
same.
Unruly Media are set to launch this exciting new game, called Star Player, and in the
interactive video sponsored by Heineken below, you can watch AC Milan legend Clarence Seedorf
plying his trade in a grandiose theater surrounded by angels.
This Bank Holiday Monday saw a round of non-league matches scheduled with no interference from
the Premier League, and our three matches for you this morning come from this schedule. Our first
match is the Blue Square South match between newly-promoted Tonbridge Angels and title-chasing
Woking. Next up is a match from the Ryman League Premier Division between Billericay Town and Bury
Town, and finally we have a match from the Combined Counties League between Farnham Town and
Badshot Lea.
A lot has happened since the sides met on the opening weekend of the Premier League. Liverpool
have hit the metaphorical rock-bottom and are now on their way up again. I don't think this is a
good time to play the Scousers because they really don't have much to lose, which always makes
teams that much more dangerous.

Regular readers will be aware that the thirst for booze knowledge in the Kickette office knows
no bounds. In order to sate this thirst (for your benefit as well as ours, you understand) we force
ourselves to venture deeper and deeper into dark, unexplored territories; places where angels fear
to tread.

Upon spotting a knackered Nissan Primera stranded in the middle of the A10 yesterday morning,
Saint David Beckham of Leytonstone was only too eager to lend a helping hand.
Mr Paul Long, owner of said Nissan, described to BBC Radio the moment that the clouds parted,
choirs of angels burst into voice and Beckham swung low from his seat in heaven to mop the fevered
brow of a mere mortal:
"We were on the A10 roundabout, which was pretty dangerous, and had been stuck there for about
10 minutes.
