Angel di Maria sounds a little like a sultry Spanish songstress who you'd find warblling
huskily in red dress in a smoky cellar bar somewhere in Madrid.
Manchester United are in hot pursuit of Benfica's 21 year old Argentina midfielder, Angel di
Maria. di Maria has been tipped by national team manager Diego Maradona as one of the nation's
hottest up and coming stars, and his club form has put Sir Alex Ferguson on red alert.
di Maria has recently pit his wits against some of the Premier League's best as Benfica tackled
Everton in the Europa League.
Benfica winger Angel di Maria has revealed he should already be an Arsenal player.
Manchester City are now prepared to pay Di Maria's £36 million buyout clause to sign him from
Benfica.
But it could have been all so different, as the Argentine reveals: "I don't know exactly what
happened with my proposed transfer to Arsenal.
Hands up if you think that it's possible to have too much money?

Manchester City are reportedly leading the race to sign Ángel Di María from Benfica
during the January transfer window.
How much!
Benfica have increased their buy-out clause to 50million euros for coveted Argentinian
forward Angel Di Maria.
The 21-year-old moved to Portugal in 2007 from Rosario Central and has attracted considerable
attention since, not least as he scored the winner in the 2008 Olympic final against Nigeria.
Argentine youngster Angel di Maria has quashed speculation linking him with a move to England,
saying that he has never spoken to the English press and has never "dreamed of" a move to English
shores.
The Benfica midfielder was linked with potential moves to some of the Premiership's top clubs
including Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal, but the Europa League standout now
insists that the reports are all fabricated.
Seemingly a story that isn't going away anytime soon, and The Telegraph suggests we are clear
favourites to land the Benfica winger:
It is understood that Manchester City are keen to complete a deal next summer, when it is likely
that they will move on Robinho, probably to Barcelona, but Di María's club, Benfica, are hoping to
complete the transfer in January.
Benfica have rejected Manchester United's bid to sign Angel di Maria. United wanted to sign the
prized Argentine who is being chased by several clubs and had offered Nani plus €10 million,
which Benfica turned down. Di Maria has caught the attention of several clubs after his fabulous
displays for Benfica.
According to Goal.com, Manchester United are looking to sign Argentinian international Angel Di
Maria from Benfica and are offering Portuguese international Nani in part exchange. You can read

As January 1 approaches closer, the transfer rumors keep getting intense. Manchester United has
been linked with several players in the last two months, primarily because the world knows that
they haven't spent anything from their $80mn after the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid.
Top players in Europe like David Villa, Franck Ribéry, Marouane Chamakh, Maicon and Yaya Touré
