Liverpool are looking into developing a long term partnership with top Uruguay side Nacional, which will offer them first refusal on their Uruguayan teams players.

The Red star Luis Suarez originally played for the Nacional team before joining Ajax and Liverpool have also just completed the signing of young star Sebastian Coates.

News out today is that Glen Johnston has suffered another set back with a recurrence of his hamstring injury after making a comeback on the weekend against Stoke.

Johnston told his twitter followers:

Jamie Carragher has come out this morning and said he is happy with the return of former striker Craig Bellamy. He believes Bellamy can be more influential this spell.

Bellamy signed a two year deal with Liverpool on deadline day and returns to the club he left four years ago. He was sold after only one season by Rafa Benitez to bring in additional funds after scoring 9 goals.

Bellamy quite a versatile player and can play on one of the wings or as a second striker which will really help with the squad depth.

Daniel Agger is expected to be out of training for at least 4 weeks after he suffered a broken rib in the 4-0 loss to Tottenham on Sunday.

This comes as a big blow for Liverpool as Agger was playing well and getting a good run of games after a few injury plagued seasons.
