Morning all, welcome to the blog.
Well, Mile Sterjovski didn't feature for the Socceroos - which in a way is good news, because it
means he's injury free for Perth Glory. Seems like a selfish way of looking at things, but meh.
Meanwhile, congrats to the Kiwis for joining the party in South Africa - we couldn't dream about
going there without ya.

So we are still midway through the interlull, but there is still a quite a bit of Perth Glory news
about town.
But before we get to that, just a bit of an update of what the Glory are up to this week.
First of all, FP just got word that the coach Dave Mitchell will be holding a press conference on
Friday as part of his "midseason review".

SO Wellington Phoenix haven't lost at home in 13 games, they have won their last two games there
with nine goals scored - so after Perth Glory came away with a draw yesterday, is that a good
result?
Of course it is.
It was the sort of match where a couple of moments of brilliance were need to notch a goal on the
board.

MORNING all, on this Melbourne Cup Day.
The day where many of you will probably place a bet, attend work functions, get pissed at the pub
or all of the above.
While the nation stop for about three minutes to watch a couple horses race from one end of a
Flemingtion track to another, Perth Glory are probably still licking their collective wounds after
Sunday's game - which even made international media, though probably because El Zorro stuck a shiny
sword into the bodice of the Glory.

SO it's matchday. Welcome to the preview blog, boys and gals.
Melbourne have won five of the last six games, though they haven't won in four games at ME Bank
Stadium against Perth.
This week, Glory have fallen over themselves to give respect to their opponents, while Victory
coach Ernie Merrick admitted that Perth are their bogey team.

MORNING all. Perth Glory has another training session/presser combo today, with Glory coach Dave
Mitchell up on the media chopping block.
There's a little bit of pressure building with two succesive losess and two tough upcoming games
against Melbourne Victory and Wellington Phoenix.
Also there's still some fans who aren't completely satisfied with DM's coaching style.

MORNING folks.
Yesterday FP had a chance to check out a bit of Perth Glory's training session and attend the
presser. Also made a couple of interesting observations while he was there.
Firstly, while club stalwart Jamie Harnwell is a few weeks away from recovering from his injury, he
had a bit of a run and looked pretty comfortable.

IT's a pretty quiet Thursday in terms of Perth Glory news.
The club decided, wisely, not to challenge Andy Todd's suspension, but since then it's been a bit
of a lull.
However, there's a bit going on here and there, so let's get into it:
- SO most people who follow football regularly will already know this - Gold Coast United Miron
Bleiberg is a media man.

SO it's been a couple of days since Perth's win over Adelaide and as a result of some other
scorelines in the other games this weekend, the Glory find themselves in third place on the
ladder.
They are now unbeaten in their last 5 games (three wins and two draws).
Most of the pundits reckon the Glory were lucky to get the 1-0 victory over the Reds, and for the
most part they'd be right - though the Glory had a number of chances, particularly in the
first-half.

PERTH Glory goalkeeper Tando Velaphi put in a man-of-the-match performance to help the home side
defeat Adelaide United 1-0 at ME Bank Stadium on Friday Night.
Velaphi, who was heavily criticised for an error which cost his side a win last week, pulled off a
number of impressive saves to deny United in front of nearly 9,500 fans.

SO we are a couple of days away from a pretty tough test against Brisbane Roar at Suncorp.
FP was having a flick through history (philosophically speaking, of course) and basically it says
that the Glory sucks at Suncorp – we've never won a game there.
But records were meant to be broken, weren't they?

SO before FP gets into Perth Glory news for today, just a quick word on Eugene Dadi.
Remember him, that tall dark-skinned fellow who formed a pretty decent partnership with Nikita, and
scored 10 goals last season (even though some were from penalties).
He's put in one 60-minute performance in Adelaide this season, but hasn't been heard from since.

RIGHTO, so FP is back again.
Having a cousin over from the 'Mother Country' coupled with writing a couple of articles for
various fanzines (more on that later) have left the blog a bit unattended.
But all is well, so lets get into some Perth Glory news.

Morning y'all. Hopefully this finds you well. As some may have noticed, FP has deliberately stayed
away from posting for a couple of days after that tragic loss to the Central Coast Mariners on
Friday.
He could have throw something, choked someone or kicked anything after that game.

SO there you go, Perth Glory come out on top in a very challenging encounter with Melbourne Victory
last night.
But in many ways, this victory was more pleasing than last week's one against Newcastle.
Against the Jets, Perth dominated possession and open play, and came out with a 2-0 victory.

SO it's Tuesday and we are fast approaching Perth Glory's next match against Melbourne Victory on
Friday night.
There's been a tinsy-whinsy bit of confusion on the times for the clash and FP may have found out
why.
In the original fixture list released by the FFA, the game was going to be played on Saturday
instead of Friday.

It's time for the next of our gargantuan pre-season previews we're off to League Two, where
the Bovril is likely to be scalding hot and the pies may still be frozen in the middle. Perhaps
surprisingly, everybody that finished last season starts this time around, and no-one (at the time
of writing) has been deducted any points yet, either.

Sounds like a cracker. Crow of over 11,000 put Gold Coast to shame (particularly as it sounds like
there were a few Brisbane based Fulham fans there).
Socceroos Mile Sterjovski and Jacob Burns and defender Andy Todd from Derby County sound like they
have filled Perth's gaps.
Our turn tomorrow, after Victory play Fulham tonight, Craig Moore thinks we could loose 0-5 (oooo
er).

CONSIDERING there really isn't much going on with Perth Glory today, Football Perth (FP) thought
he'd write a personal post today.
