Andy Mitten has given RoM a copy of his new book, "United! United!", to give away to one of you
lot. Following the books he has written about United players in the 80′s and 90′s, Andy has now
spoken to a whole host of people associated with our club in the 70′s. Lou Macari, Martin Buchan
and Tommy Docherty are amongst the people who give an excellent insight to what went on behind the
scenes during that decade.
RoM has published the thoughts of Andy Mitten, Pete Boyle, Pete Shaw and Paddy Crerand ahead of
the derby tomorrow and is today pleased to share Terry Christian's opinion on the rivalry.
Scott the Red: Where do you think our rivalry with City ranks amongst that with
Liverpool and Leeds?
Continuing on with our series of talking with reds ahead of the derby this week, after
previously sharing the thoughts of Andy Mitten, Pete Boyle and Pete Shaw, we're very proud to
reveal that today's interview is with Manchester United legend, Paddy Crerand. Paddy won the FA Cup
with United in 1963 and reflects on his experience of playing for United against City in the
60's.
On Monday we had an interview with Andy Mitten, yesterday it was with Pete Boyle and today we
have Pete Shaw who writes for Red News. A great account of the truth about blues.
Scott the Red: Where do you think our rivalry with City ranks amongst that with
Liverpool and Leeds?
Pete Shaw: Well, emotionally, it's the one for any home serving Red.
Following on from Andy Mitten's interview, today we've got the thoughts of Pete Boyle on our
rivalry with City, his favourite derbies and trusting the manager.
Scott the Red: Where do you think our rivalry with City ranks amongst that with
Liverpool and Leeds?
Pete Boyle: Liverpool is still way out in front, with Leeds hated but rather insignificant
nowadays.
Leading up to the FA Cup semi-final against City, RoM will be running a series of interviews
with United fans. Our first is with Andy Mitten, Editor of United We Stand, who will be
talking us through his favourite derby day memories, City's fanbase and our greatest rivalries.
Scott the Red: Where do you think our rivalry with City ranks alongside that with
Liverpool and Leeds?
