Eventualities kept me from seeing almost all of the games this weekend (for the record, I caught
the first half of Man Utd-Arsenal and part of the second half of Barcelona-It Doesn't Really Make
Any Difference) so I'm not just bursting with new soccer insights to write about today. Not that
you would be able to tell that from the following blog post, in which I try to figure out which
well-known TV dramas the top four clubs in England would be if they were somehow to become TV
dramas, but in a way that preserved the basic features of their identities.
Liverpool misfit Andriy Voronin played a big part in Ukraine's easy win over minnows Andorra by
laying on a couple of assists. Andriy Shevchenko was also on the score sheet.

In the first edition of 'Milan Legends', we take a look back at one of Milan's greatest ever
players, Andriy Shevchenko. With his move back to Kyiv signalling the end of a glorious career, it
is timely to recount Shevchenko's glory days in Milan. The Ukranian helped Milan to numerous titles

Chelsea FC have announced chief executive Peter Kenyon will be stepping down

Kenyon's resignation will be the Gael Kakuta affair—the Lens youngster whom Chelsea encouraged to
break contract with the French club, leading to a two transfer window ban for CFC—although there
were likely more important factors which led to today's announcement.
You know how sometimes big money transfers don't work out? I'm thinking Andriy Shevchenko at
Chelsea, Juan Sebastian Veron at Man Utd, Denilson at Real Betis etcetera. Well, there were some
who thought Barcelona's signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Real Madrid's signing of Cristiano
Ronaldo could fall into that category.
You hear the term thrown around a lot. The Best Player in the World is not an easy title to
hand over to anyone, but this last week Carlo Ancelotti coach of the first place Chelsea Blues
admitted that his key forward, Didier Drogba, might in fact be one of the best all around players
in the world.
Internazionale vs FC Rubin Kazan
A match against the Champions from Russia might be exactly what the doctor ordered for
Internazionale after some poor performances recently. Inter lost their first league game of the
season on Saturday against Sampdoria and the week before had put in a very unconvincing match
against Napoli in a 3-1 win.
