The only time Vidic failed to block

Unlike previous seasons, no matter how bad we were, Arsenal always manages to get good runs of fixtures (by that I mean victories or undefeated) in spurts throughout the season. So far, we have not make that happen yet. After a couple of good away wins, we lost at home against our hated rival.

Not quite the result that Arsenal were looking for but hardly the same as last season's shambles. Wigan gave their best and were rewarded as hesitant display from our defence afforded the home side a reprieve with a draw. Arsene Wenger made 8 changes to the side that faced Chelsea, all of which totally understandable given the 48 hours gap in between the 2 games.

Angles are not a problem for Nasri

The Premier League table looks just about right to me. Arsenal once again move top for the second time in a week. This will last for quite some time, at least until Manchester United plays their match in hand. As I mentioned in the preview, this traditionally is a tight game.

Samir Nasri has been Arsenal's best player so far this season and quite rightly is the name on all Gooners lips.
I'd even go as far as saying that had he been born on these shores then the English media would be wanking furiously over him just like they are over Gareth Bale.
Unfortunately a French man will never get the plaudits like a British man over here!

Wenger would he pleased he did not choose the Northeast

Yesterday culminated the first casualty in the Premier League. Rather surprisingly, the chop fell on Chris Hughton's head. Now, I do realise his links with our sorry neighbours but you've got to feel for him just a little. Currently propping up the table at a respectable 11th position, having just only returned to the Premier League, he has done admirably well.

This time, it'll be snow instead of rain for Robin

Obviously the biggest news coming out from yesterday was the Champions League draw. It is almost inevitable that we'll draw Barcelona. I watched the draw and knew it would end up that way what with Shalke and Bayern being drawn out so early.

Denilson’s future should be at Arsenal

A couple of reports have started to come out of Germany claiming that Wolfsburg have given Schteve McClaren the go ahead to lodge a bid for Denilson in the region of £11-£13 million, depending on where you read.

I could understand why Denilson might be tempted to move on. He isn't the number one choice for the deep-lying role in midfield and if there is even the merest hint of a mistake the fans are onto him in a flash.

I, for one, am more than a little bit tired of telling people that Arsenal are finally going to perform in a big game, only to have it thrown back in my face.
The statistics of our recent matches against Chelsea and Man United are more damning than anything I can say, even in criticism of Theo Walcott: in our last 11 games against the pair of them we've managed one draw and 10 defeats, with just five goals scored and a whopping 23 conceded.
