You gotta love family holiday snaps. Whether you're caught cross-eyed, looking green after a
boat ride or coming off a waterslide with your bikini bottoms around your ankles, they're never
good, are they?
Thank goodness we have the Arshavins. As we know, Arsenal's Andrey Arshavin isn't shy about
taking part in entertaining photo shoots.
Russian's fashion statement thwarted Yoink! Arsene Wenger wants all the post-match attention to be
on his team selection and the subsequent humiliating defeat, not some silly Russian attacker taking
to the pitch wearing his woolly hat.
Soccer America report on Arsenal-Porto match in UEFA Champions League Action yesterday-
[UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE] Arsenal might once again finish the season without a trophy, but on
nights like Tuesday at the Emirates Stadium the Gunners are sure fun to watch. Arsenal got a hat
trick from Dane Nicklas Bendtner, a brilliant individual goal by young Frenchman Samir Nasri and a
goal by Emmanuel Eboue (set up by Andrey Arshavin) and crushed FC Porto, 5-0, to cruise into the
quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League.
Although EPL types don't really count assists.
The final score: 2-2 with Arsenal equalizing in second half stoppage time.
The Galaxy's Donovan looks good in blue. Here Arsenal's Andrey Arshavin attempts to hold him off
in today's game in London, one of the few to survive England's deep freeze.
Common perception has it that the Champions League knockout stages represent the highest standards
anywhere to be found in the game. The crème de la crème of world football. Where the best
players, meanest defenders and most skilful attackers ply their trade and where the margin for
error is at it's thinnest.
The boss hates the new squad limit rules it has been well publicised and I agree with him. But,
how brilliantly has he stuffed their new rules down their throats it is rather spectacular...
Arsenal have named seventy players in their squad list to the FA, and none of the 20 are
English:
Manuel Almunia, Andrey Arshavin, Nicklas Bendtner, Marouane Chamakh,
Gael Clichy, Denilson, Vassiriki Abou Diaby, Johan Djourou,
Emmanuel Eboue, Lukasz Fabianski, Cesc Fabregas, Laurent Koscielny, Vito
Mannone, Samir Nasri, Tomas Rosicky, Bacary Sagna, Alex Song, Robin Van
Persie, Thomas Vermaelen, Sebastien Squillaci.
With the Barcelona game less than 48 hours away, Arsenal are sweating over the fitness level of
midfielders Cesc Fabregas, Abou Diaby and Andrey Arshavin. The 22-year old Spaniard suffered a knee

When Andrey Arshavin slid home from an angle to give Arsenal a 2-1 lead seven minutes into the
second half of their clash against Blackburn Rovers, the game was still very much alive.
After all, their hosts had been resilient throughout the afternoon in front of a very hopeful
crowd at Ewood Park.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes nerves was a factor on Saturday as his players faced
Birmingham with no wins in their last three games. The Gunners produced a below-par performance but
still managed to take all ...
It's Saturday but we'll have to wait another day for Arsenal's game. I'm planning to do the
review only tomorrow, so today will be a non Manchester City related post. Let's look at what has
been said in the past day.
What happened with Manchester United and Wayne Rooney showed just how well we did when one of
our own was tempted to leave.
After battling their way past West Ham United on Saturday, Arsenal are getting ready to fly to
Ukraine for their Champions League mid-week game against Shakhtar Donetsk. On the narrow win over

Arsenal midfielder Andrey Arshavin was bitterly disappointed for how things went for the Gunners at

With the World Cup Finals currently underway, it is normal for Arsenal fans to think about Andrey

I don't know how many people actually follow my blog or even stumble upon what I write here, but
if you do follow, I want to say thank you and sorry for not posting anything the past 2 days. I was
at the end of my existing job and had to move all my stuff to a different part of the country. I
felt so tired after it all that I could not raise myself to write anything.

The what: Premier League, Round 7 – Chelsea v. Arsenal
The where: Stamford Bridge (42,450)
The when: October 3, 4pm local time (11am EST)
The how: Fox Soccer Channel (DirecTV 619, Dish Network 149)
The why: Um, because it's Arsenal.
Far too often when we lose a game, we lose another straight after. Why that is I don't know
maybe the players are still sulking a few days later, but in this case it would be the worst
possible thing to happen. This team have been humiliated, the boss has given them the rollicking of
their lives, keeping them in the dressing room for close to an hour after the game and went
absolutely mental, The Sun ran the story today and it is also emanating from other sources as
well.
Simples The most notable thing about Andrey Arshavin's speech on behalf of the Russia 2018 World
Cup bid was that it seemed to be a blatant rip-off of one of the annoying Compare The Meerkat
adverts. We've reported in the past that Arsenal players have noticed the similarities when
Arshavin talks English in his thick [.
It's Arsenal..It's United..It's 3D!
This coming Sunday, the battle lines will be clearly ear-marked as the Gunners face the 'Red
Dolls' on their own turf i.e. the Emirates. Unlike the last few seasons, when the fixture was of
not much consequence, it will be this time, if bare statistics are to be kept in mind.
Porto 2 Arsenal 1
Poor. Very, very poor.
Porto are a bit like Aston Villa: nothing special but a solid side who will always do reasonably
well in the Champions League without winning it (unless they have an inspirational manager and help
from the referees). They've got a big man and a little man up front and two reasonably talented
wingers.
While you take a moment to admire Luis Figo's manly backpack (it belongs to his daughter),
please do enjoy a few bits of news and goss.
-Speaking of pink bags, the Spoiler have published their list of top ten metrosexual 'ballers.
We can't help but think it's missing the king of man-bags and poker-straight locks, a certain Mr
Ramos.
Morning all,
its strange not having a game this weekend, its not an interlull (©arseblog) kind of feeling.
Hopefully this weekend will bring about a lot of Sp*rs tired legs and niggling injuries because at
this moment in time the injury prognosis looks bleak for most of the squad. Yesterdays blog had a
reaction I didn't expect.

Andrey Arshavin on the news that the Junior Gunners will get to camp overnight at Emirates

Arsenal star shows of his woggle We knew Arsene Wenger had probably had Arsenal's scouts run the
rule over Andrey Arshavin before splashing the cash on the Russia attacker, but this isn't really
what we had in mind. Arshavin dressed up in a Scouts uniform to promote a Junior Gunners event
which will see 200 young [.

Could it be true, ladies? Is Arsenal's midfielder and all round mad geezer, Andrey Arshavin,
pinning the Kickette Award for total and utter wuvvley to the chest of Cescy Fabregas?
Thanks to goals from Andrey Arshavin, Robin van Persie and Carlos Vela, Arsenal ended their season

Andrey Arshavin has been answering fans questions again! He's one of my favorite players, but he
is an odd one! I've highlighted my favorite answers!
1. From JuliaDr Andrey, Hello! Thank you for your FOOTBALL! I wanted to ask you how
you
feel about celebrities who help ordinary people when opportunity arises.
It's the third day of polls here at the Gunning Hawk and today we ask you to vote for the best
goal, the one which took your breath away. The choice was not easy as we ...
A couple of stories today:
I know I'll get at least 3 or 4 comments again from Barca fans accusing me of being a stupid,
naive sucker for believing that Xavi would once again take time away from healing leprous orphans
and saving kittens stuck in trees to comment on the Cesc thing, but he has.
Today this blog has a proverbial cherry popped: although it was started back in April 2008, I had
never posted in July. Until today.
But I felt I owed it to myself, more than to my loyal readership (of one) that I should finish the
player ratings which I started over four weeks ago.
So, in the hope that somebody is still interested with the World Cup ongoing, here are my player
ratings for the strikers.
We've said a fair few words on bad denim before. Why the universe has chosen craptastical fabric
creations to be our personal nemesis, we'll never know. But clearly, some WAGs have yet to heed our
advice.
Putting a tie-dyed nail in sensible denim's coffin was Sthefany Brito, seen last week in Brazil
attending a concert.

A stroll for Arsenal in their traditional pre-season friendly at Underhill. This from
Arsenal.com's official match report:
"The tone was set after just 90 seconds when Andrey Arshavin waltzed round home keeper Jake Cole
before tapping home. Jay Simpson added two more before the break as the visitors dominated.
Arsenal midfielder Andrey Arshavin was pretty much satisfied with the Gunners' easy win over Sturm
Graz on Wednesday saying how leaving the pitch as a winner is always a nice feeling, regardless of
the type ...
Former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini was jeered heavily during his 77-minute appearance in
AC Milan colors yesterday evening. That didn't stop the player from playing an instrumental role in
the Rossoneri's 1-1 draw against the Gunners in both teams' opening fixture of The
Emirates Cup.
Fernando Torres was the most popular to feature on replica Premier League
shirts printed worldwide this past season. This is nothing new for Liverpool's #9, as it is the
second season in a row that he has topped the list. Torres' teammate Steven
Gerrard was second while Manchester United's Wayne Rooney went up from
fourth to third in the top 10 list compiled by SportingiD.
Russia playmaker Andrey Arshavin has declared himself fit to face Liverpool this weekend, as the
28-year old searches for his sixth goal in 3 games against the Reds.
The Arsenal midfielder has a habit of scoring against Sunday's opponents and boss Arsene Wenger
was made to sweat on his fitness after Arshavin sustained a muscle injury last week.
It seems every time Arshavin gives an interview in Russia he ends up making headlines back in
England. Some hacks have made an art out of translating an odd word out of context and making an
issue out of it.
The latest translation we've seen is from an interview with Sport Express. The English media has
jumped onto these words,
As for football I can say that my style has also altered it is more effective, but less
sparkling.
