1. Resurrection- Two games, two deficits, two wins. Suddenly Arsenal have fight, suddenly Arsenal
have character. With Andrey Arshavin gone, the media must identify a new scapegoat. Thus far, the
Gunners have denied them. Rosicky is approaching his...

Thierry Henry came off the bench in his last Premier League appearance for Arsenal this year and
capped the occasion off in perfect style with a late stoppage time goal that wrapped up all three
points for the Gunners.
In a toughly contested match at the Stadium of Light, James McLean opened the scoring for
Sunderland 25 minutes into the second half, when he capitalized on Per Mertesacker's slip to guide
the ball past Wojciech Szczesny from an acute angle.
It looks more and more likely with each passing day that Andrey Arshavin will pack up his boots
and leave London during the summer, likely back to Russia with Zenit St Petersburg, where he's
still considered a hero. In fact, it seems all of Russia regards Arshavin as some kind of football
genius since he was named that nation's athlete of the year again for the fourth time running and
is still the captain of his country's team.

He may well have dived like...well, like a swan to procure the penalty that led to Scott
Sinclair cancelling out Robin van Persie's opener from the spot, but Nathan Dyer's third goal in as
many games went part-way toward Swansea 'beating Arsenal at their own game' (© every single
national newspaper) at the Liberty yesterday and it appears that the tiny 6-stone halfling wasn't
shy in rubbing it in.

With his MLS season well over, Thierry Henry found the time to explain the finer points of ball
handling to a rapt Mirka Federer (wife of Roger), during the ATP World Tour Finals this past
weekend.

Two second-half goals in the space of two second-half minutes were enough to seal a
come-from-behind victory for Arsenal against Bolton last night, thus booking the Gunners a berth in
the last eight of the Carling Cup.
Fabrice Muamba opened the scoring for Bolton against his former club shortly after the interval,
nabbing the ball off Emmanuel Frimpong, playing a elongated one-two with Darren Pratley and sliding
in to smash the ball into the roof of the net.
The goal scorer and the muffler
Not quite the class of the goal that Dennis Bergkamp scored but it was a goal that was enough to
send us top of the group with a point ahead of the beaten side, Marseille. Another one of those
where the result was more important than the performance. 5 wins out of 6 games now and that is
momentum building.
Shell shocked Gunners
Just when we asked for a little more consistency and building on recent improvements to go on a
little positive run of matches, this happened. Abysmal, is the only word I can find to fully
explain this defeat at Ewood Park. From having a 2-1 lead going into half time and seemingly in
full control of the game, we wilted in the second half.
Remember when we brought you the review of the leaked Arsenal away kit?
Well, our worst fears have been realized:
I'm sticking with my original -2/5 rating. It's just awful. Arsenal's own Andrey Ashavin described
it best, likening the shirts to "jockey silks". And it's not likely to look any better on the
pitch:
Clowns.
Dick Advocaat believes Arsenal are not taking full advantage of the talent of Russia captain Andrey
