There is only one other goal I have seen in the Premier League this season that can hold a candle to Wayne Rooney's goal for Manchester United against Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday and that is Maynor Figueroa's long range effort for Wigan Athletic at Stoke.
Nothing else comes close.
I don't think I need to say much to convey the sheer magic of this brilliant, ruthless counter attack to be honest.

Hi everyone. To echo the sentiments of my fellow United Offside blogger, Ian, it is indeed a pleasure to have been selected to write for this site. This post feels a little like the first day of school where you're asked to introduce yourself. Or it's like a networking event where you wear those incredibly fashionable stick on nametags like so
I'm Shaun and I've been following United for as long as I can remember.

So, Arsene Wenger hasn't won a trophy in over five years so thinks a tally of players who started their careers at Arsenal under him is something to brag about. It's like the Arsenal fans who spend hours of their time on internet forums 'showing off' about how little money they've spent.

What do either of these things mean if you aren't successful on the pitch?

The ex-Man Utd and Russia star Andrei Kanchelskis watched Arsenal get beaten by Tottenham at the weekend and, as usual, doesn't have nice things to say about Arsenal's Andrei Arshavin. A couple of months ago Kanchelskis bad-mouthed Arshavin saying that he had no idea of how to act as captain of Russia, and did not have [.
