4 weeks ago, Arsenal's title challenge was over. The home defeat to Chelsea had seen everyone and their dog line up to kick Arsene Wenger's team. While they were still licking their wounds, Manchester City snatched a win against the usual collection of youngsters, sprinkled with experience in the League Cup.

Arsene Wenger can drive out the criticism in his way after the mid week Carling Cup match against City. All the Gunners and Wenger needed was a victory and Arsenal managed to win the match against a resolute Stoke defence. Arsenal had enough quality up in front with Andrei Arshavin being fantastic all throughout the match.
