There have been assorted Arsenal rumours that Andrei Arshavin was going to be sold this summer, but
both the player and the manager have scuppered the idea of him leaving, but he thinks that Cesc
Fabregas will not be returning to the Emirates after the summer break. Arshavin told the Russian
magazine Sport: "My opinion [.
There is a report today that states that the Russian side Zenit St. Petersberg are keen to bring
back their prodigal son Andrei Arshavin to the Russian League. Arshavin arrived from Zenit to great
fanfare two years ago, but his skills seem to have diminished after a brilliant opening season.
There has been zero discussions [.
3PM Extra: Watch Arsenal's brilliant Xmas ad, Ronaldinho showboating and an MLS fan
almost lose her head
Presenting quality football videos from the interweb, daily at 3pm. Here's today's collection:
1) Not only have Arsenal players rediscovered their form on the pitch, but the marketing department
is also going great guns off of it.
Andrei's boundless energy and enthusiasm for every aspect of life as a professional footballer was
legendary in the Arsenal dressing room. On the team bus? Not so much. Image: @Cesc4Official.
Only Paul Gardner could find something critical in a match that pits Barcelona and Arsenal against
each other.
I thought the game was a brilliant display for long stretches of the match, and didn't feel that
Arsene Wenger's tactics negated the aesthetics that both teams have the ability to create.
Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby has said that he wears a TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR shirt occasionally in the
comfort of his house. Gunners medio Diaby said that the shirt was gifted to him by French teammate
Younes Kaboul, who currently plies his trade with the Lilywhites. The French star's comments
regarding him wearing a Spurs top is [.
I'm not taking anything away from Wayne Rooney here. His goal (despite flying in off his shin)
against Manchester City was a marvellous one.
Sky Sports certainly thought it was. Since the goal I must have seen it replayed more times than
Rooney has banged call girls.
However, despite the media having a gangbang over it, I still think that Andrei Arshavin's one
against Barcelona the other night was better.
Reports are coming in concerning the future of Marseille international Ghanaian winger Andrei Ayew
as a potential target for Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
Liverpool are looking at various areas within their squad to strengthen and it is no surprise to
see Kenny Dalglish interested in Ayew, he has a good reputation and his price is not out of reach
of the Anfield board.

As Arsenal players struggled to convince Scousers that losing is part of being a trendy North
Londoner this weekend, you'd be forgiven for asking exactly where all the adversity came from. A
team carrying Robin Van Persie, Andrei Arshavin and Thomas Vermaelen shouldn't struggle very often,
yet it couldn't pull away from a team containing Charlie Adam.
Arsene Wenger wrapped up as many as five quality signings on the transfer deadline day but not
all members of his squad are feeling confident about the future ahead.
Russian winger Andrei Arshavin, for one, believes that the Gunners' failure to sign a defensive
midfielder such as Rennes' Yann M'Vila not only left the Arsenal midfield incomplete, but also
prevented Wenger from compensating for the departures of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.
It is being reported this morning that Arsene Wenger has put both Marouane Chamakh and Andrei
Arshavin on the Arsenal transfer list in the hope of off-loading at least one (if not both) of his
out-of-form players in January. Arshavin is worried about losing his place in the Russia side at
the Euros next summer [.
According to the Russian daily Sovietsky Sports, Zenit St. Petersburg are keen on re-acquiring the
Arsenal playmaker Andrei Arshavin for the original sum of €16.5 million that the North London
side paid for him back in 2009. The report suggests that Zenit are hoping to bring back the little
Russian with a view of appointing [.
According to ESPN Soccernet, Arsenal footballer Andrei
Arshavin has drawn interest from Juventus. His agent Dennis
Lachter told lifesports.ru,
"There's a possibility of Andrei's move to Juventus ... But there are two things that can
prevent this deal .
The little Russian forward Andrei Arshavin has not looked like his heart is at Arsenal for some
time now, and he is rarely given a start by Wenger except in the underperforming Gunners
"second-string" games. Considering that just two years ago he was considered the biggest star in
Russia (never mind Zenit!

It took just 5 minutes of Arsenal magic to turn a one goal deficit into a one
goal lead as Robin Van Persie and substitute Andrei Arshavin struck for the Gunners at the Emirates
stadium. It leave us with a fascinating second leg to come next month at the Nou Camp. Could that
Villa away goal be costly for the Gunners.

Not content with allowing a mere Serie A league game upstage the matchup of Europe's two most
aesthetically pleasing big teams in the world's greatest club tournament, Andrei Arshavin matched
his goal-plus-personality combo if we factor in the competition, dramatic timing (late winner and
such), and the celebration sums up his child-like personality oh so well.
Liverpool appear to be leading the chase for Arsenal left back Gael Clichy as the French
international continues to struggle to resolve his contract dispute with the club. The 25 year old
defender will apparently not now iscuss the issue with his North London employers until the end of
the season and that has led many to believe that Arsene Wenger is not willing to compromise on his
initial offer to the former Cannes man.
Currently placed second in EURO 2012 qualifying Group B after five matches played, Russia is
expected to qualify for next summer's finals. Led by Arsenal attacker Andrei Arshavin and managed
by respected Dutch coach Dick Advocaat, Russia is currently ranked 13th in the world by FIFA and
will host the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

It ha's been a difficult opening couple of games for the MLS-bound Montreal Impact.
A loss to rival Carolina Railhawks gave Montreal an 0-2 start for the first time since 2002
while the Railhawks managed to rebound from an opening-week loss.
Puerto Rico is the early leader as the Islanders wrapped up their road trip with an easy win
against FC Tampa Bay.
As you can imagine with the end of season approaching, the press and media are jumping on anything
they are hearing on the grapevine and one story that has reappeared this week is the fact that they
believe Roman Abramovich wants Andrei Arshavin at Chelsea and is prepared to pay £15m for him.
Now it's not the first time I have featured this story on here and it's interesting to see that
this one has resurfaced once more.
the little Russian maestro Andrei Arshavin says that no matter what Arsenal did at the end of the
season, everything was bound to go wrong. The Gunners only won two of their last 12 games and it
seemed that they couldn't win against a paper bag in a storm. Arshavin was at a loss to [...]
Huge disappointment this morning as Robin van Persie has 'clarified' the comments he made about
Chelsea and Spain.
Crossing his fingers and trying not to break his hole laughing, he said:
I respect my colleagues of Spain and Chelsea and look forward to playing against them for many
years to come.
After Arsene Wenger said that Barcelona had given up on signing Cesc Fabregas this summer, we all
thought that there was a quiet transfer window ahead regarding the tapping-up series that we seem
to see every year, but now things seem to have taken a strange turn. Yesterday Andrei Arshavin
revealed that Fabregas had given [.
Devin Del Do scored both goals as the NSC Minnesota Stars moved into second place in the North
American Soccer League with a 2-0 win over the Atlanta Silverbacks in Atlanta, Ga.
Del Do put the Stars on the board before all the fans were even seated, beating Atlanta
goalkeeper Felipe Quintero to an Andrei Gotsmanov through ball and chipping it into the empty net
in the fourth minute.
Whilst watching England's latest debacle unfold, I kept hearing blunt phrases and outbursts
hurled at the TV such as ‘That Walcott is bloody useless!', ‘what's he doing now?!?', ‘Oh God
not Walcott again' and ‘DO SOMETHING WITH THE BALL YOU MUPPET!!'. Then I realised it was my
voice.
Russian midfielder Andrei Arshavin has moved quickly to end the rumors linking him with a move
away from Arsenal. There have been a plethora of rumors about departing Arsenal players this
summer, and with Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri heading out the exit door Arshavin is adamant that
he will be staying.
Galatasaray have signed Emmanuel Eboue in a deal worth £3.5m.
The 28-year old Ivorian has signed for the Turkish side, after agreeing terms and completing a
medical this morning.
Eboue arrived at Arsenal, after leaving Belgium side, Beveren in 2005. He made 132 appearances
for The Gunners, scoring 5 goals.
Arsenal are set to miss out on the services of Marseille midfielder Lucho Gonzalez, according to
the Ligue 1 club's manager Didier Deschamps.
Arsene Wenger started the afternoon claiming that he had complete faith in the capabilities of
his current squad but less than two hours later, he was left wondering just how true that notion
really is.

He came to north London on the back of a magnificent starring role at the 2008 European
Championships, yet Arsenal fans have only intermittently seen the best of Andrei Arshavin.
The Russian captain has enjoyed some fabulous performances for the Gunners, including that
four-goal solo show at Anfield a few years back.
Andrei Arshavin has never been scared to speak his mind, and from his comments over the years you
could imagine that he has not been very happy after his first six months at Arsenal. Now very
rarely plays the full 90 minutes of any game for Arsenal, and he has admitted that he's not very

championships. Led by Arsenal attacker Andrei Arshavin and managed by respected Dutch coach Dick

There was something poignant about the moment, mid way through the second half, when Arsène
Wenger made his first two substitutions.
Gervinho and Abou Diaby were bouncing on the touchline: primed, eager and ready while the fourth
official fiddled with his number board.
Three yards away from them, on the pitch, a small Russian man was standing on his own, looking
downcast and waiting for the inevitable appearance of the number 23 on the official's board.
This time last year we were on a long unbeaten run and were beginning to hint at the possibility
of a serious title challenge.
There was one glaring problem – we did not have a lead striker.
Robin van Persie was out on one of his trademark lengthy injury lay-offs and Nicklas Bendtner
was filling the berth next to him in the treatment room.
The Russian attacker Andrei Arshavin has looked out of sorts all season, and although he has scored
a few goals (and quite a few assists as well) he has rarely looked animated in games except for
short periods. The flashes of brilliance that the Arsenal fans expected to see last season are
rarely seen this [.

After enduring yet another hideously out-of-sync performance for the Arsenal last night, it
should come as no real surprise that Andrei Arshavin may just be foisted out of
the Emirates during the January window with Serie A bigwigs Juventus now poised to make a move for
the 'ickle Russian water-treader.
The other day I made a funny image about Arshavin and his goal face. I said it made him look
like he was constipated. Loyal readers commented that generally speaking I was a terrible human
being for that. In response, over a twitter conversation with arseblogger, I ended up joking about
making Arhsavin riding a unicorn, as though that would make Arsenal supporters happy.
Apparently when I make fun of an Arsenal player by saying he has a funny celebration face, I'm a
terrible, terrible human being. I made this just to show that I'm not.
Here is Andrei Arshavin, The White Knight of Arsenal, using his patented "Two Goals At Once"
trick, riding atop his trusty Unicorn steed 'Belyh Faksov', while wielding a lightsaber.
