Ahhhhhhh! Ahhhhhhhhh! ... My God, it hurts so bad! ... And it's yes, it's leaving a red mark. A
red mark! ... I think that means I'm bleeding internally. ... I don't have much time. ... How could
that Rangers mercenary do this to me? .... I have a family.
The Russian midfielder Andrei Arshavin has been giving his usual forthright answers to the press
when asked about his life at Arsenal, but this time he hasn't said anything that will upset Arsene
Wenger! In fact he gives him great praise, and also had something nice to say about the fans. He
said: "Arsene gave me freedom, [.
Steven Gerrard and Daniel Agger threaten Andrei Arshavin with a swirly if he doesn't fork over
the cash during Arsenal's win over Liverpool on Sunday. Arshavin is clearly about to run away, in
fear of getting stuffed in his locker again.

All you need to know about the last time these two teams met at Anfield.
This time, however, the circumstances surrounding the fixture are a bit different.
After what turned out to be quite a day for the Premier League table, Arsenal are poised to
signal their title intent. Chelsea, United, Tottenham, and City all dropped points, and tomorrow
presents Arsenal with the chance to start to distance themselves from the rest of the fourth
through eighth-place jumble.
After playing the full 90 minutes in Real Madrid's 3-2 win over Valencia on Saturday, Xabi
Alonso made the trip to his former home to watch Liverpool get sunk by a Glen Johnson own goal and
an Andrei Arshavin falling-down, top corner wonder strike all within a 10 minute span, which I'm
assuming is right when this picture of Xabi was taken.

After Boxing Day, we'll be exactly
half-way through the Premier League season. Exciting stuff. We'll have 5 more months of fantasy
footie, a brilliant title race brewing, a few weeks off - and then bam: South Africa! But for now -
our attention is focused strictly on the league.

The inevitable has finally happened. After a series of good results, solid performances and
goal-scoring exploits, Arsenal have been shaken awake. Dreams of Premier League glory looks to be
in pieces after defeats against Sunderland and Chelsea, and even though Arsene Wenger claims that
the Carling Cup isn't a priority, defeat had to taste bitter.
Don't you smile at us like that, Mr. Walcott. We're pissed off, mate.

The Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has come back into the Arsenal squad just in time to face Liverpool
this weekend, but he is backing Andrei Arshavin to take the attacking role again in the absence of
Robin Van Persie and Nicklas Bendtner. Walcott was asked if he thought that Arsene Wenger would
give him an attacking [.
Morning all, a bit of time has passed now since Chelsea which might enable us to look at things
with a bit more perspective. Lots of reaction from our players, the gist of which is that we need
to pick ourselves up and get on with things.
Andrei Arshavin:
We haven't stopped fighting for the championship.

I probably am going to be accused to doing a Keyrock here. You know being a fair weather
blogger. I know I have remained conspicuously quiet starting from Sunderland through Citeh. Guilty
as charged. Shame on me.
Two people who must be kicking themselves after yesterday are the two writers on this blog whose
teams failed to pick up the three points yesterday.
The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly enquired about buying the unsettled striker Roman
Pavlyuchenko. The Russian frontman, currently with Tottenham, has been in very short demand this
year with Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch to compete with. Reports around the Arsenal
ground are that Andrei Arshavin, the inspirational Russian playmaker, has recommended [.
The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was forced to play Andrei Arshavin as the main striker against
Stoke yesterday, and he thinks the Russian did very well in the unfamiliar position, although he
admitted that Arshavin wasn't terribly keen on the idea! Wenger said: "I don't think he was a big
fanatic to play centre forward but [.

Arsene Wenger can drive out the criticism in his way after the mid week Carling Cup match against
City. All the Gunners and Wenger needed was a victory and Arsenal managed to win the match against
a resolute Stoke defence. Arsenal had enough quality up in front with Andrei Arshavin being
fantastic all throughout the match.
Anyway, I'm back again. I spent the weekend looking after small children, and as anyone who
looks after small children can attest, there's not a lot of scope for blogging on the side when
you're in charge. Not a lot of scope for anything, in truth.
So I looked on at the Stoke win in semi-detachment, marvelling in the main at the ability of
Andrei Arshavin (5ft 7½in) to lead the line.
Liverpool
Position: 7th, 7-3-5 (24 points, +11 goal differential)
Recent Form: WLDDW
Home Form: 4-2-1
Last Meeting: Liverpool 4-Arsenal 4 (4/21/09)
Well, tomorrow is the big day.
A Dirk Kuyt goal just before half time gave Rafa Benitez's Liverpool a crucial lead at home to
Arsenal on the stroke of half-time but then it all went pear shaped for the Merseyside outfit.
An own goal from Glen Johnson was followed swiftly by a fine finish from Andrei Arshavin to put
Wenger's side in the lead.
Arsenal did their hopes of challenging for the title no harm, while Liverpool suffered another blow
to their title aspirations. The Reds deservedly lead 1-0 at the break, but an unfortunate own goal
from Glen Johnson and a brilliant finish from Andrei Arshavin allowed Arsenal to complete their
comeback.
Howard Webb denied Steven Gerrard a penalty after he had been fouled by William Gallas.
Liverpool dominated the match and Dirk Kuyt got the opener. Then came the second half in which Glen
Johnson scored an own-goal and Andrei Arshavin did the rest.

I have to admit that I was not entirely confident going into yesterday's match. Bad things have
happened recently in our big 4 matches; that is, if Liverpool can still be considered a "big 4″
side. Liverpool had Gerrard and Torres available and our injury situation had not improved.
After the Sunday Big win, Arsene Wenger gave a standing ovation to the whole team for their
outstanding performance in the second-half.
Every Arsenal fans witnessed the poor display of the team in the first-half. Astray passing,
flapping keeper, bad defending, and poor attacking. With this performance, the manager showed the
team the "Other" side of him during half-time.
Morning, it's fairly quiet this morning. There's no pre-Burnley stuff going on yet and the
smashing of the Mugsmashers is now a thing of the past. Still, some chatter from the players will
keep us going.
First up, Cesc, who says Arsenal's lack of size isn't an issue and the absence of Robin van
Persie is something we can cope with.
Here are our three players to watch well in fact to sign to see you through the Christmas
period. As ever, we make no promises that this will turn out well. And we appreciate the lack of
imagination that seemingly lies behind these picks; but points mean prizes...
1. Andrei Arshavin
Over the next four gameweeks (assuming you play the FPL and are familiar with that parlance)
Arsenal play Burnley, Hull, Villa and then joy of joys have a double header, with Portsmouth and
Bolton both on the week's menu.
There are plenty of spoof videos on the Internet, but most of them are cheaply done. However, I
came across this one today that I think is one of the best ones I've ever seen that features Andrei
Arshavin going "Back to the Future" to stick it to the Liverpool players and Rafa Benitez.
Latest Castrol Football rankings were out on the 15th December 2009. This is Barclays Premier
League related player rankings.
Fernando Torres is still the top BPL performer as per last month's rankings. However, Andrei
Arshavin's unstoppable goal at Anfield has enabled him to leapfrog Vidic and Gerrard into second
place.
<p align="center:< We were a bit late to the party in posting this, but the above Andrei
Arshavin, Liverpool, Back to the Future mash up is both funny and clever. Plus it's Friday. For
some reason my favourite part is Rafa Benitez as Marty's mom (with Lea Thompson's hair) right at
the end. I should probably [.
