Palermo's Simon Kjaer Is On The Verge Of Becoming a Wolfe.
Palermo's Simon Kjaer is on the verge of completing a move to Woflsburg, where he will pair up
in central defense with either Arne Friedrich, who has starred in Germany's World Cup run, or
Andrea Barzagli.
Kjaer has been billed by many as one of the next great defenders of the game, and his arrival at
Wolfsburg will only help him forward in his career under the guidance of McClaren.
We continue on the weekly review with the 2003/2004 season. While the 2002/2003 season was
pretty boring on the domestic front, the 2003/2004 season proved to be really interesting and
exciting. First, this was the last Serie A season to feature 18 teams (more on that later), as well
the last season for arguably Italy's best fantasista of all-time: Roberto Baggio.
Liverpool defender Sotiris Kyrgiakos is the latest defender who's being linked with a move to Serie
A side Juventus. A report in Corriere dello Sport claims that La Vecchia Signora are considering
making a move for the Greek international before the end of the transfer window.
Juventus coach Luigi Del Neri is eager to add some more depth to his defence and the Turin side has
been linked with players such as Andrea Barzagli, Salvatore Bocchetti and Thomas Manfredini in the
past couple of weeks.
