Neymar and Ronaldo: just two of the big stars in this year's Brasileiro
The dust has barely settled on the major state championships, but already it's time to focus on
Brazil's national league – the Campeonato Brasileiro.
The 2008 competition was one of the closest for years but this season could be even tighter.
Dunga has announced the 23 players that will face Uruguay and Paraguay in the World Cup on 6th
and 10th June respectively, and for Confederations Cup in South Africa from 14th to 18th June.
The squad includes Internacional's in-form font man, Nilmar; Corinthian leftback, André Santos;
Grêmio's keeper, Victor; and Cruzeiro's Ramires (who is expected to join Benfica soon).
- André Santos celebrates
A 1-1 draw against Santos in the Pacaembu was enough for Corinthians to claim their 26th
Campeonato Paulista title.
Santos arrived needing three goals after losing the first leg 3-1 in the Vila Belmiro. A blatant
dive by Kléber Pereira earned his side a penalty.
