For once, the Brits know how it feels to be American. That is, they know how difficult it is to watch England play football on TV. A full list of Oldham's 08/09 fixtures are available on the BBC website. Here is my take on what has come out....
Image details: Vinyl Ready Art - Soccer served by picapp.com
Here are the fixtures which clash with England games, in that they kick off on the same day and travelling time between venues is not possible to see both games, correct at the time of writing:
  • 6th Sept Tranmere v Oldham; Andorra v England
  • 11th Oct Oldham v Hereford; England v Kazakhstan

The Andorra match is likely to be played in Barcelona so would nice to go to and I wouldn't expect a shortage of tickets, Tranmere away on the same day is annoying.

The England national team's fixture list for World Cup 2010 qualifying has just been released, and I think it sets up pretty nicely for new manager Fabio Capello. The meeting to hash out the exact details of the schedule took a reported eight hours in Zagreb, Croatia.
It'll be important for the Three Lions to start and end qualifying on a high note and they have a good chance to do just as they'll visit minnows Andorra to get the ball rolling and host relative lightweight Belarus to end the campaign.
