For once, the Brits know how it feels to be American. That is, they know how difficult it is to
watch England play football on TV. With the TV rights for England in Britain going to Setanta
Sports, most Englanders didn't see the two nil win against Andorra on Saturday. The same will apply
to the [..
A full list of Oldham's 08/09 fixtures are available on the BBC website. Here is my take on what
has come out....

Here are the fixtures which clash with England games, in that they kick off on the same day and
travelling time between venues is not possible to see both games, correct at the time of
writing:
- 6th Sept Tranmere v Oldham; Andorra v England
- 11th Oct Oldham v Hereford; England v Kazakhstan
The Andorra match is likely to be played in Barcelona so would nice to go to and I wouldn't
expect a shortage of tickets, Tranmere away on the same day is annoying.
England face Andorra today in Fabio Capello's first competitive game in charge as England manager
as England look to qualify for the South Africa World Cup. Rio Ferdinand appears to be the only
absence from the squad, but there will be more-than-capable replacements with Terry, Lescott, Brown
and Upson all looking to be given a chance [.
England play the Czech Republic today in their last 'friendly' before the World Cup 2010 qualifiers
begin. The time for experimentation is over and the team you'll see lining up for England tonight
will in all likelihood be 80-90 percent the same as the one set to line up against Andorra and
Croatia in September [.

Fabio Capello asked for patience.
Between the Czech Republic last month and Andorra today, I would say the fans patience has run
out.
England's performance against Andorra this afternoon can only be described in one word, dire.
Fabio Capello's England squad selection for the World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Croatia
asked more questions than it answered. The inclusion of Jimmy Bullard and omission of Michael Owen
garnered the most press, but one or two other absences have induced bemused faces on Fleet Street.
The real concern should be that a vast chunk [.
The England manager, Fabio Capello has just announced his England squad as follows: England squad
to play Andorra and Croatia: Robinson (Blackburn), James (Portsmouth), Green (West Ham); Lescott
(Everton), Bridge (Chelsea), A Cole (Chelsea), Terry (Chelsea), Brown (Manchester United),
Ferdinand (Manchester United), Johnson (Portsmouth), Upson (West Ham); Barry (Aston Villa), J Cole
(Chelsea), Lampard (Chelsea), Bullard (Fulham), [.
Football has gone crazy this week. Manchester City got rich and Robinho got signed, there was Alan
Curbishley and Kevin Keegan's decision to leave their posts, and the whole Dimitar Berbatov saga.
What we need to settle things down is a return to normality. And what could be more routine than
England struggling to beat a [.
Denmark striker Nicklas Bendtner has shaken off an ankle injury to start for his country in their
World Cup Qualifier against Hungary tonight. Speedy winger Theo Walcott claims a surprising start
in England's WCQ versus Andorra at the Olympic Stadium. Johan Djourou continues in defence for
Switzerland v Israel while Arsenal's French trio Bacary Sagna, William Gallas [.
The England national team's fixture list for World Cup 2010 qualifying has just been released, and
I think it sets up pretty nicely for new manager Fabio Capello. The meeting to hash out the exact
details of the schedule took a reported eight hours in Zagreb, Croatia.
It'll be important for the Three Lions to start and end qualifying on a high note and they have a
good chance to do just as they'll visit minnows Andorra to get the ball rolling and host relative
lightweight Belarus to end the campaign.
The first round of qualification for 2010 World Cup in South Africa kicks off on Saturday the 6th
of September. England first game is away to Andorra, Scotland is away to Macedonia, Northern
Ireland are away to Slovakia, Republic of Ireland are away to Georgia and Wales are home to
Azerbaijan. All .
Yesterday's Andorra versus England game was a fix.
Later in this post, we detail for our subscribers how the fix was perpetrated, minute by minute on
the field of 'play'.
As for the rest of you freeloaders, at least you know that the match was rigged.
Yesterday's Andorra versus England game was a fix.

Sven McClaren has named his squad for the crucial World Cup qualifiers with the surprise inclusion
of Fulham's Jimmy Bullard. England start their campaign with a double-header against the mighty
Andorra and Croatia on 6th and 10th September respectively.
Wayne Rooney has been accused of being arrogant and warned he faces another test of his fragile
temperament when he leads England's attack against Andorra. When he plays Croatia, he's probably
not so arrogant. Rooney is set to renew hostilities with defender Oscar Sonejee, who fought a
running battle with him in March last year.
Scotland lost 1-0 to Macedonia in Skopje, but neighbours England ended up 2-0 winners against
Andorra despite an unconvincing display. And just like in the game against the Czech Republic,
Chelsea winger Joe Cole saved the day for Fabio Capello, scoring a brace in the second half as the
Three Lions struggled against their weaker [.
It has been a long time coming, but tonight Theo Walcott has shown the world what his is capable of
doing. Scoring three goals and make run after run. This following a great display
against Andorra has put Wlacott ahead of Beckham and Bentley in the pecking order fro the right
wing role. What must [.
The two clubs face off in the first qualifying round of the 2008-2009 UEFA Cup. The first leg will
be played on July, 17 2008 and the second leg on July 31, 2008.
PFC Cherno More finished fifth in the Bulgarian A Professional Football Group, but but because the

England play Andorra in Barcelona's Olympic Stadium at 1900 BST on Saturday evening and then travel
to Zagreb for their second qualifier against Croatia on Wednesday, 10 September at 2000 BST.
Players out with injury include Steven Gerrard, Owen Hargreaves, Michael Carrick and Micah
Richards, with Portsmouth's Glenn Johnson and Fulham's Jimmy Bullard brought into the [.
EAI's Victims Need Our Help
We know a lot about football you and me. We know that Brazil isn't what it used to be, that the MLS
is woefully overrated at the moment (which is saying a lot), that Middlesborough are this season's
Aston Villa, that Manchester City will still never win anything, and we know that England will
never play attractive football again.
I have no proof that this is going to happen, but in my head I see Freddy Adu and Jozy Altidore
meeting in Andorra or somewhere in the Pyrenees mountains this week on a day off from training.
They'll sit at the bar, order a rare cognac (because those two are sooooo legal in Europe) and then
one of them will hold his snifter aloft and belt out the following toast:
"To Charles Renken, the next "next big thing" in American soccer.
Owen Hargreaves hopes to be fit to help England I the qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup that take
place against Andorra and Croatia in September. The Manchester United midfielder has been out
injured with tendinitis but is hoping to make an appearance against Zenit St Petersburg in the Uefa

Liverpool's Steven Gerrard is going to miss the opening games of England's 2010 World Cup
qualifying campaign with a groin Injury. Gerrard will have to undergo surgery on his groin which
will mean that he will miss 10-15 days of football. England's first game is against Andorra for
which they should be .
The Liverpool star messed up his groin and is getting operated on.
He'll be out 10-15 days and will miss England's first two World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and
Croatia.
Apparently he's been playing with pain for a while.
"He needs to have it because he is having pain with it.
Liverpool ace Steven Gerrard says he had no choice but to go under the knife to resolve his groin
problem.
Gerrard underwent the groin operation earlier this week after the club decided the time was right
to get the injury cleared up.
The injury will sideline Gerrard for up to two weeks and it means he will miss England's World Cup
qualifiers with Andorra and Croatia next month.
Jimmy Bullard has been called up to the England squad for the first time in the 29 year olds career
for the 210 World Cup qualifiers with Andorra and Croatia. The Fulham midfielder has been given his
chance to impress after the injuries to Gerrard, Hargreaves and Carrick. There are another few ...
Mr. Capello, for reasons unknown as my Dad has pointed out, has included defenders Matty Upson and
Joleon Lescott for England's match against Andorra but ignored Johnny Woodgate and Ledley King.
Couple this with Beckham's inclusion, Michael Owen's exclusion and the addition of future England
legend Jimmy Bullard, we're rightly scratching our heads at what the Italian has in store for us.
Watching England press conferences is a wonderful way of invoking a spooky sense of deja vu. The
players sit looking like they would rather be somewhere else, going through the motions of rolling
out the same old meaningless clichés, and generally leave it to their journalistic opposition
to take the initiative.
Having just sat through England's pretty unconvincing performance against Andorra I can only
conclude that there is some mysterious law I am unaware of banning actually running with the ball,
as opposed to just kicking it and hoping.
I was surrounded by about 20 England fans at the pub where we watched the match and I would
describe the mood as subdued resignation.
England finally overcame a very-well organised but highly defensive Andorra team, winning 2-0
thanks to goals by Joe Cole both in the second half. As mentioned in the last post, England started
brightly with Walcott looking very dangerous down the wing, but the team couldn't take any of their
chances and things started to slow down [.
Andorra are currently holding England 0-0 at half-time, with England enjoying nearly all of the
possession but are still without any goals. Here are 5 observations made from the game: 1. With
Beckham on the bench, no-one in the England team can cross the ball (perhaps maybe Lampard, when he
wants to).
Fabio Capello asked for patience. Between the Czech Republic last month and Andorra today, I would
say the fans patience has run out. England's performance against Andorra this afternoon can only be
described in one word, dire. From the team selection that had me wondering if Fabio Capello
thought this was a friendly, to a first half [.
I really don't know how the 7,000 plus England fans do it. Travel away to see England play
no-hopers Andorra in a World Cup qualifier in Barcelona - perhaps the attraction of a weekend in
Barcelona did it.
Its bad enough supporting your club every weekend without expending more energy and emotion on a
two-bit, two-bob international team who really haven't done anything since Sir Bobby Robson was in
charge.
When it was announced that Steven Gerrard and Owen Hargreaves would be unavailable for England's
games against Andorra and Croatia, some members of the press had a field day. All of a sudden, two
of the biggest Premier League clubs in the land were sticking their middle finger in the ...

Arsenal meets Blackburn this weekend, another team that believes in Josip Simunic style of
tackling. Here is hoping that Walcott gets the start after his barnstorming performance against
Croatia which should have boosted his confidence to stratospheric levels.
Powerful Wigan Athletic striker Emile Heskey has said that he regrets leaving Liverpool, and wishes
that he had had more of a chance to prove himself at the top level.
The England international's career has been reignited since his move to the JJB Stadium, with his
good performances earning an England recall and interest from several Premier League clubs.
Having suffered the heart break of not reaching Euro 2008 perhaps now, as we gear up for the new
season would be an interesting time to look at England's World Cup qualifying schedule. With just
less than seven weeks to go before England start their campaign against Andorra we can begin the
build up to [.
Fabio Capello has made a guarantee that England will reach the 2010 World Cup. England's qualifying
campaign for the 2010 World Cup finals begins with a match against Andorra on the 6th of September.
"We will qualify for the World Cup. We will be in South Africa. I am sure of it," ...
Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard is out of England's opening two World Cup qualifiers as he goes
into hospital for surgery today.
Gerrard played through the pain barrier to see his side make the Champions League group stage, but
he was at half power with a groin problem.
Boss Rafa Benitez revealed that the decision was taken to send Gerrard for surgery before the game
with Standard Liege and his absence will hit England coach Fabio Capello for the ties against
Andorra and Croatia next month.
