The more I am thinking of tomorrow's game, the more I am thinking about where the difference
could be, someone to create something out of nothing and someone to step up for Chelsea to be the
difference. I believe the with the news on Frank Lampard yesterday being out, I am not sure
if Ramires will play next to Mikel and Essien, and I think it is too much of a big game for
McEachran in Ancelotti's eyes, so I believe Kalou will get the nod tomorrow to start.
This festive spirit malarkey is being hosed down our throat more than usual this year.
Everywhere you turn it looks like a bloody Christmas card- only the reality is less robins landing
on fence posts and more Nissan Micras skidding around car parks and taking elderly folk and their
shopping with them.
The last two days there is a rumour that Ledesma will join Chelsea as soon as this January.
Yesterday, I just ignored the news thinking that it nothing but an ordinary transfer rumour.
However, today things began to heat up and given the fact that Lampard will be sidelined for a
while and Ancelotti knows [.
By Neal Hepworth, writing from Middlesbrough
Chelsea's season is in danger of becoming a laughing stock. There I said it, this writing game
is all about taking risks and I'm prepared to be proved wrong, but right now the club hierarchy is
looking a lot like, well, a lot like the Russian government.
This a question many fans are asking after another poor display from the Blues last night. On
his return to his former club Olympique Marseille, there was a lot of excitement and expectation
that Drogba would be a key part of Chelsea's victory.
That did not happen and the blues now remain win less in their last 7 matches.

Finally the weekend is here and we can get back to watching the EPL. Here's a few comments from
Ancelotti ahead of the clash with Tottenham.

Big clash on Sunday morning as Tottenham host Chelsea in what should be quite a match. The
Guardian is my go-to site for EPL info and here's their preview
There was a time when Chelsea fans would mockingly refer to Tottenham's ground as 'Three Point
Lane', such was their ability to waltz away from there with victory.
Scott the Red: So, the most obvious question has to be about Chelsea's form. What the
fuck is going on?
Chelsea Den: Swine flu? Delirium? Sabotage? I could give you any number of excuses but the
bottom line is I think we started the season still buzzing from the double and probably didn't even
notice half the squad had gone.
Now this story has broken from literally nowhere and I have to say that my initial reaction was
"Spurs would never let him go!". Then after thinking that I am wondering if he did come to Chelsea
then "where would he fit into the side?".
An obvious answer would be to put Michael Essien back in the holding role and play Modric next to
Lampard, but then once again I had to calm myself down and get back to reality.
Is the pressure finally getting to King Carlo?
Mad as hell.
Mad as hell? Of course not. But our usually calm, understated leader has this week been in a
very talkative mood. Even more unexpected? He's chosen the media as his outlet.
I. First there was the public rebuttal of England's Brave John Terry.
Chelsea
Position: 4th, 9-4-4 (31 points, +19 goal differential)
Away Form: 3-3-3 (+5 goal differential)

Last Meeting: Chelsea 2 – Arsenal 0 (October 3, 2010)
It's the most wonderful time of the year.
Lost, languid, lonely... Ancelotti stood motionless on the touchline, both hands thrust in
pockets, his mood no doubt as black as his winter over-coat.
In complete contrast was the mood of the scoreboard operator at The Emirates Stadium. Surely not
even he could have predicted that Arsenal would gobble Chelsea up like a box of posh truffles being
offered around on Christmas Day.
