Toronto FC rookie Luis Silva drew raves heading into the 2012 MLS Draft, and is beginning to
show why as he establishes himself as a real threat for TFC, which posted a 5-1 victory against
South Florida in pre-season MLS action.
The dynamic playmaker found himself on the score sheet early in the fifth minute as he slotted
home a 1-on-1 opportunity with the USF keeper to make it 1-0.
FC Barcelona won the match-up of the weekend, if not the season to date, with a thrilling 3-1
victory against arch-rival Real Madrid. Goals from Alexis Sanchez, Xavi and Cesc Fabregas helped
the reigning champions erase Real Madrid's three-point hold on first place in La Liga (though Real
Madrid still has a game in hand).

Things seem to be looking up for Arsenal fans.
With the club poised to snatch up Ivory Coast winger/striker Gervinho from Ligue 1's Lille in
the following few days, Gunners fans finally have something to smile about.
The attacker notched a solid 15 goals in Lille's championship-winning season last year but has
long been linked away from the club, and Arsenal has been consistently showing interest in the
player.
