It was a topsy-turvy weekend for the Americans Abroad contingent, and no player may have
illustrated that more than Maurice Edu.
Having missed out on last week's U.S. men's national team friendly against Mexico with an
injury, Edu recovered enough to earn a start in Rangers' 2-0 win against Inverness Caledonian
Thistle.

Having just joined Hull on loan for a second time this season, Guzan made his way back into the
club's starting lineup on Saturday.

The U.S. U-20 men's national team is one win away from reaching this summer's World Cup, and one
player who could be on the team that isn't right now is Joshua Gatt. The 19-year-old attacker made
that more likely with another start for Molde FK this weekend.

The Gold Cup may be looming, but just which forwards U.S. national team head coach Bob Bradley
will bring to the tournament remains unclear. Bradley's upcoming decision was made a bit tougher
this weekend as Edson Buddle scored a spectacular equalizer in FC Ingolstadt 04's 1-1 draw with TSV
1860 Munich.

Whether it was injuries, being out of form or something else, DaMarcus Beasley had a hard time
getting minutes at the club level in recent years.
Those days are long gone, with Beasley's latest performance serving as the latest piece of
evidence that Beasley is back.

Jozy Altidore has reason to celebrate, and not just because it's his birthday.
Altidore found the back of the net for the first time since Sept. 29 by capping the scoring in
AZ Alkmaar's 3-0 victory over ADO Den Haag on the day he turned 22 years old.

A month ago, three young Americans found themselves on the bench of their respective clubs,
which ultimately helped facilitate loan moves as they searched for more playing time.
Those three Americans made their debuts this weekend.
Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore and Eric Lichaj all received their first appearance for their new
clubs.

unfamiliar with, but that didn't stop him from making his Tigres UANL (and Americans Abroad) debut

Having missed the season opener due to a thigh strain, Bornstein made his first start for Tigres
on Saturday as the club defeated Necaxa 1-0.

Brian McBride should enjoy his record for goals scored in a Premier League season by an American
while he still can because Clint Dempsey is on the brink of breaking it.
Dempsey scored his career-high ninth goal in the Premiership campaign, giving Fulham the
equalizer in a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa.

Most of the big European leagues are still in their preseasons, but that doesn't mean there

If Oguchi Onyewu is hoping to earn his first call-up under new U.S. men's national team head

Jozy Altidore has been no stranger to scoring nice goals this season, but the one he bagged this

A week after enduring one of his worst performances of the season, Clint Dempsey responded in a
big way.
