Landon Donovan made his first appearance in an official match in Europe in four years on Tuesday and while he did not score,the appearance was still significant.

Donovan played 23 minutes in Bayern Munich's 5-1 blowout win over VfB Stuttgart in DFB Pokal (Germany's nation-wide tournament) action on Tuesday.
