Play Like An American
Every time you take the pitch they watch and study your moves.
Every match they dream of being in your boots.
The US game against England a 1-1 tie, as everyone knows was real entertainment and also, for
me, a moment of revelation.
After an early goal, when it seemed like it would all be out of reach very soon, star-studded
England seemed troubled by the innocent, sincere play of the Americans, who were able to pull even
later in the first half and keep it at that for the rest of the game.
Boy, Steve Davis hits it on the head with this one. I know I've harped over MLS broadcasts
before and Davis made several points I'd said in the past. Quality read for those (like me) who get
annoyed easy while listening to a MLS game.
I always say the best cure for it is to do what Seattle is doing, a single broadcaster calling

After months of rumors, the now ex- Kansas City Wizards have shed the title which they wore so
proudly since 1996, emerging anew as Sporting Kansas City. The new club, which President Robb
Heineman has stated, "will be more than just a soccer team" looks to forge a new relationship
between fan and franchise, where, as Heinman said,"there are no more fans now, we are all members
of the club".
