On Wednesday night, Hull City and US international striker Jozy Altidore appeared on CNN's Larry King Live to discuss the Haiti earthquake disaster and the impact it has had on him and his family. Despite only being on the show for a very short period of time, you could easily see how visibly shaken Altidore was by the catastrophe and how he was deeply worried whether several of his family members, who are in Haiti, were alive or not.

Chivas USA and U.S. international defender Jonny Bornstein is auctioning off the pair of boots he wore when he scored a goal for the U.S. on the final day of World Cup qualifying that sealed Honduras' trip to South Africa and made him a national hero in the Central American nation.

Bornstein, of Los Alamitos, has autographed the boots and put them up for sale on eBay today with 100 percent of the proceeds to go to the American Red Cross to aid in their relief efforts in Haiti.

U.S. Men's National Team defender Jonathan Bornstein's last gasp goal against Costa Rica in World Cup qualifying aided Honduras in their quest to reach the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and now he's hoping the shoes he wore that night will give a bigger assist to relief efforts benefitting Haiti.

Bornstein has autographed and donated the shoes he wore during the historic match for an online charity auction on eBay, with 100 percent of the money raised to be donated to the American Red Cross to aid in their relief efforts in Haiti.

Jonathan Bornstein's boots raise $1,725.00 with 100% of the total going the American Red Cross. This donations along with others will help in the relief effort for the people in Haiti and around the world.
Jonathan used his head scoring what might be the most important goal in the history of Honduras.

ALAJUELA, Costa Rica (March 10, 2010) – The U.S. Under-17 Women's National Team opened the CONCACAF U-17 Women's Championships with a 9-0 victory against Haiti as forward Lindsey Horan led the team with four goals and two assists.

While the USA scored several artistic goals, the most amazing moment from the game came after the final whistle as Haitian goalkeeper Alexandra Coby slumped to the turf in tears.

After the match against Costa Rica, the U.S. players met up with their Haitian counterparts outside of the locker rooms before they boarded the bus to give each player a backpack stuffed with soccer gear, clothes, toiletries and other items. The Haitians had stayed to watch the match after losing out to the Cayman Islands 1-0 earlier in the evening.
