Djorn Buchholz CEO of the NSC Minnesota Stars was watching the 2011 UEFA Champions League Final
at Brits Pub in downtown Minneapolis on May 28th with hunderds of other soccer fans. Like other
soccer supporters throughout the metro area he was frustrated that the game was difficult to watch
with the split screen storm coverage from KMSP FOX 9.
The autographed, game-worn jerseys from the U.S. Women's World Cup Team who faced Japan on May 14
at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, raised a total of $20,597.44 via an online auction. The
proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the American Red Cross to benefit tsunami relief efforts in
Japan.
Today Bob Bradley released his roster for the upcoming 2011 Gold Cup that kicks off June 7th. It
was apparent from the beginning the Bob Bradley was bringing out the big guns as marquee names like
Landon Donovan, Tim Howard, Michael Bradley and Clint Dempsey were all called up (amongst others).
This is an important tournament for the Nats.
Gorilla FC is hosting an event to raise money for the American Red Cross Japan relief effort
this Saturday TODAY, March 26th. You are all invited to have fun and help support
the American Red Cross! The event will be held at Garage Billiards where you can register a team to
take part the bowling tournament.
We're only one day away from first kick and the excitement is building. The Sounders face a
