While I slept, US Soccer released a full account of the injuries suffered by Charlie Davies in
Tuesday's fatal car accident outside Washington D.C. and his recovery prognosis. For those of you
going to the U.S. v Costa Rica game at RFK tonight, the American Outlaws supporters group and Shin
Guardian blog are teaming up to construct a get well gesture to Charlie: a 9th minute salute to our
#9 shirt
** BUMPED TO TOP ** I've been looking around for party announcements for the USA-Honduras match
this weekend, and it looks like I've found one. This website -- American Outlaws -- has a couple of
locations listed for parties the night before and the day of the match. If there are any other
parties on the agenda, please let me know.
Hurray! The US Soccer Supporters Club is here! Now I can be a fan!
Beau suggests calling up US Soccer and asking how existing fan groups are going to be treated now
that the USSSSSSSSSSC has come to pass...like a kidneystone.
Although I highly recommend calling up US Soccer and asking loaded questions about existing fan
groups - preferably loaded questions laced with profanity - the Feds have actually anticipated
this, and tried to helpfully answer:
Quote: How does U.
Wow - and they got medals for that, too.
Why didn't you just burn the flag while you were at it? Why not just take a 12 x 20 flag, a big can
of kerosene, and just torch the son of a bitch on the fifty yard line? Wouldn't that have been
simpler?
I mean, if that was the plan, why not just go over to Sam's Army and the American Outlaws, and just
spit in their faces over and over for forty-five minutes?
I'd like to fill IMS readers in on this past weekend in Chicago. My emotions ran the gamut
on Saturday. Others commented they too had mixed emotions concerning the days events. Here's what
went right and what went wrong.
A large group of Minnesota Supporters met at a bar called the Weather Mark not far from our
hotel in China Town and walking distance to Soldier Stadium along the waterfront in downtown
Chicago.
This one's official. U.S. Soccer is launching the U.S. Soccer Supporters Club. For a $49.95 annual
fee, supporters get priority access for World Cup tickets, some ticket pre-sale opportunities,
national team yearbooks, discounts at U.S. Soccer's store and a few more benefits.
First reaction here -- call Neil Buethe at U.
The below is the revised list of confirmed establishments who have contracted for the English
telecast (via The Shin Guardian):
- Chicago – Small Bar
Location: 2049 West Division
- San Diego – O'Brien's Pub
Location: 4646 Convoy St.
I don't normally post about watch parties, but since there's been no official announcement from the
team on a location for watch parties this year, and not everyone reads bigsoccer, I wanted to tell
you about the watch party this weekend at Coach's at 103rd and Wornall, just off of I-435. Coach's
is working with the Hillcrest Syndicate and the American Outlaws KC chapter to give Wizards' fans a
place to get together this weekend to watch the game.
Looking for a good justification to spend $25 on a 2009 Triangle Soccer Fanatics membership? If the
season ticket deals, complimentary American Outlaws membership, the exclusive RailHawks car magnet,
and various other freebies and discounts didn't entice you, perhaps $4 off each individual match
ticket will convince you to become a premium member of TSF in 2009 and support the supporters!

Yeesh. That was brutal. Dan Loney found an iphone on the street and went to town before it's owner
got back:
I mean, if that was the plan, why not just go over to Sam's Army and the American
Outlaws, and just spit in their faces over and over for forty-five minutes? Why not just hock
loogies for three-quarters of an hour while Mexico fans watched and laughed?
A large contingent of Minnesota US Soccer supporters will be making their way to Chicago over
the next two days for the USA vs. Honduras CONCACAF Hexagonal World Cup Qualifier on Saturday at
Soldier Stadium in Chicago Illinois. Some will be flying and others like yours truly will be
driving or sharing a ride with friends.

Small Bar in Chicago, an the Official U.S. Soccer Bars, hosted an unofficial party for the American
Outlaws, a supporters group that had the joint rocking for hours the night before the game. Fans
from as far apart as Seattle and New Jersey - and especially our new friends from Lincoln, Nebraska
- drowned out the bar by chanting and singing through the wee hours.
