Before I get too far into discussing the decision of WPS to cancel the 2012 season, let me say
that my initial reaction when the news first broke was that I was simply gutted. Gutted for every
fantastic person I've met covering the Independence and women's soccer in general.
Standing in the middle of the street is never a good idea -- especially when you're a reporter
holding a microphone in the path of footballers trying to flee the training ground. One reporter
outside of Milan's Milanello complex apparently thought that not only standing in the middle of the
street, but sticking her microphone out to moving cars would be a great way to get an
interview.
It's almost come as shock to some people that Arsenal are kicking into gear and are starting to fly
like R. Kelly believes he can.
It doesn't surprise me though. Not at all. There is too much quality in the squad for us not to
be.
Of course, this current group of players is arguably one of Arsene Wenger's weakest since he joined
the club but that just shows the strength of the previous teams he has had.

Desperate to get away after training to go home, karate kick some beehives for a few hours then
feast on raw goat meat, Zlatan Ibrahimovic made a deliberately swift getaway from Milanello
yesterday.
However, one incredibly eager/foolish reporter still fancied that she could coax a few words
from Zlatan and ventured to stand in the middle of the road, dangling her arm out as the car
approached.

Piermario Morosini RIP
Former Italian U21 player, Piermario Morosini, suffered from a heart attack during Livorno's
Serie B fixture at Pescara. As a mark of respect, all league games in Italy this weekend have been
called off.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family, teammates and friends of Piermario Morosini, the
Livorno midfielder who tragically died today after suffering a heart attack on the field in a Serie
B game against Pescara.
As can be seen from the video footage below, Morosini collapsed on the field while playing for
Livorno.
Dealing with suspected fractures Step 1: Recognition and treatment Look for swelling. If you spot
any, try prodding the victim or squeezing the swollen area. Listen for a grating noise. If this
turns out to be Ashley Cole thinking aloud about opening contract negotiations, please ignore. Be
aware of shock.
Junior Seau's girlfriend made a frantic all to 911 when she discovered Seau dead with a
self-inflicted gunshot wound on Wednesday.
"Oh my God, I need an ambulance," the girlfriend of the former USC and NFL linebacker said as
she cried. "Oh my God.... My boyfriend shot himself." A nearly nine-minute conversation with the
emergency dispatcher took place, and audio of the call was released by Oceanside officials on
Friday.
