Junior Seau's girlfriend made a frantic all to 911 when she discovered Seau dead with a
self-inflicted gunshot wound on Wednesday.
"Oh my God, I need an ambulance," the girlfriend of the former USC and NFL linebacker said as
she cried. "Oh my God.... My boyfriend shot himself." A nearly nine-minute conversation with the
emergency dispatcher took place, and audio of the call was released by Oceanside officials on
Friday.
Dealing with suspected fractures Step 1: Recognition and treatment Look for swelling. If you spot
any, try prodding the victim or squeezing the swollen area. Listen for a grating noise. If this
turns out to be Ashley Cole thinking aloud about opening contract negotiations, please ignore. Be
aware of shock.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family, teammates and friends of Piermario Morosini, the
Livorno midfielder who tragically died today after suffering a heart attack on the field in a Serie
B game against Pescara.
As can be seen from the video footage below, Morosini collapsed on the field while playing for
Livorno.

Piermario Morosini RIP
Former Italian U21 player, Piermario Morosini, suffered from a heart attack during Livorno's
Serie B fixture at Pescara. As a mark of respect, all league games in Italy this weekend have been
called off.
1. Daniel Zitka (Anderlecht) Anderlecht keeper Daniel Zitka was on his way to hospital with a
broken leg when one clumsy stretcher bearer stumbled and went head-first into the turf. The clown
then had the cheek to milk his own injury for all it was worth! 2. Internacional v Confianca After

It's almost come as shock to some people that Arsenal are kicking into gear and are starting to fly
like R. Kelly believes he can.
It doesn't surprise me though. Not at all. There is too much quality in the squad for us not to
be.
Of course, this current group of players is arguably one of Arsene Wenger's weakest since he joined
the club but that just shows the strength of the previous teams he has had.

Desperate to get away after training to go home, karate kick some beehives for a few hours then
feast on raw goat meat, Zlatan Ibrahimovic made a deliberately swift getaway from Milanello
yesterday.
However, one incredibly eager/foolish reporter still fancied that she could coax a few words
from Zlatan and ventured to stand in the middle of the road, dangling her arm out as the car
approached.

Standing in the middle of the street is never a good idea -- especially when you're a reporter
holding a microphone in the path of footballers trying to flee the training ground. One reporter
outside of Milan's Milanello complex apparently thought that not only standing in the middle of the
street, but sticking her microphone out to moving cars would be a great way to get an
interview.

Before I get too far into discussing the decision of WPS to cancel the 2012 season, let me say
that my initial reaction when the news first broke was that I was simply gutted. Gutted for every
fantastic person I've met covering the Independence and women's soccer in general.
Brazilian fans use an Ambulance to enter the stadium for a cup tie between Sampaio Correea and
Moto Clube at the week-end. Funny how security don't even bat an eyelid as the healthy fans jump
out of the vehicle, don't ye think?

Like some kind of paramedic Trojan Horse, six intrepid supporters bypassed the need for a match
ticket by way sneaking into the Brazilian cup tie between Sampaio Correa and Moto Clube at the
weekend in the back of an handy ambulance...
(Apologies for the appalling sound quality here, you may want to turn your speakers down a notch
or two before hitting play.

Last night's Johnstones Paint Trophy tie between Accrington Stanley and Tranmere had to be
abandoned in the 39th minute when Accrington defender Tom Bender was knocked unconscious after
being accidentally twatted in the face by his own goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin as he tried to punch the
ball clear of Tranmere striker Lucas Akins, who inadvertently nudged Bender into the path of
Dunbavin's flying fist.

In which Olhanense striker Salvador Agra is knocked completely sparko-doolally in a nasty
collision during his side's 2-1 win over Uniao Leiria in the Portuguese top flight on Saturday,
only to receive the finest pitchside medical treatment available a handful of coarse sea salt
ground into his wounds courtesy of the club's slapstick medical team who dumped him on his head
again one more time for luck before packing him into the back of an ambulance.

Here we see linesman Milciades Saldivar, flat out on the touchline after being pelted with a
projectile during the South American Cup game between Universidad de Chile and Nacional in
Montevideo last night...
The 'projectile', as can clearly be seen in the photo above, was nothing more than a rolled-up
paper streamer a missile that would way no more than a few grammes even if it were wet-through.
Everton midfielder Tim Cahill has called on the Premier League and the FA to postpone this
weekend's opening round of Premier League fixtures. The Toffees are scheduled to open the season on
Saturday in London as they face Tottenham, just blocks away from the location where the rioting
began.
Riots have broken out all over England, and White Hart Lane appears to be the most at risk
stadium this weekend.
Travis Pastrana, one of the biggest stars at X Games 17, suffered an ugly injury while
attempting a TP Roll. You can watch the Travis Pastrana crash video below. At the end of the video,
you can see the X Games star in obvious pain.
Travis Pastrana was taken away on a stretcher and was put in an ambulance.
North Korea's Kim Su Gyong, left, and United States' Lauren Cheney battle for the ball
Tuesday during their nations' World Cup opener.
Associated Press Writer Nancy Armour has more on the late blooming Bruin and her World Cup
dream:
HEIDELBERG, Germany (AP) -- When 11-year-old Lauren Cheney and her teammates went to
watch the United States play Nigeria at the 1999 World Cup, they brought along playbooks so they
could write down what they would do when it was their turn on soccer's biggest stage.
The application of rules in football can be patchy at best in this part of the world. On an evening
when the SLeague game between Etoile and Young Lions was delayed apparently because there was no
ambulance in attendance (!), across town at Toa Payoh Stadium, a colour clash between match
officials and a goalkeeper was not deemed worthy of comment.
