Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is going nowhere, because he is "very impressed" with new manager Roy Hodgson. Back off, Mourinho.

And by "very impressed", I mean he quite likes the signing of Joe Cole. It doesn't take much to please Stevie G, does it one Chelsea reserv later and suddenly everything is coming up roses.

West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker is reportedly going to be offerred a new five year deal worth £20 million. Jose Mourinho hasn't even gotten to the mid-way point of the La Liga season but has went on to say that he would gladly take-over some of the top clubs in the Barclay's Premier League but Liverpool not being one of them. Although no one is really jumping the again and expecting Mourinho to leave Madrid just after one season, especially that he is still preparing for the season ahead, it was interesting to hear Mourinho go on about the possibility of taking over some of the best clubs in the Premier League
