In the end of the year when all is summed up, Kaka will be the biggest loser. When we wrote that
Real will realize the sad truth that ‘galacticos 2' will be even a bigger farce than the
first version of Perez's team, many thought we were wrong.
As soon as Real came across few serious rivals, things fell into place as making the team by
spending €100 million because of someone's ego is simply not how things are done.

It is being reported that Sakho is there for the taking if only we increased our offer and
Bayern Munich are lurking in the background ready to pounce.

‘COKE ZERO' PRESENTS: WAYNE ROONEY'S STREET STRIKER
BACK ON SCREENS IN SEARCH FOR STREET FOOTBALL TALENT
Second series of ‘Coke Zero' Presents: Wayne Rooney's Street Striker sees Manchester United and
England star continue hunt for street football stars
This coming Sunday (8th November) sees the return of ‘Coke Zero' Presents: Wayne Rooney's Street
Striker – a UK wide competition to find the nation's most skilful street footballers.
Robin van Persie's contract expires in summer 2011 and the club has been locked in contract
negotiations all season. The club appeared to have offered the Dutch striker £75,000 a week, but
van Persie is stalling over signing a new contract.
There was talk earlier that he wanted a buyout clause, which was as low as €5 million.
So Tevez is set to finally leave Manchester United. Evidently ManU brought some of the CRon monies
to him, but he and (more likely or) his agent said, 'no thank you'.
This Joorabchian is some piece of work, isn't he? Not content with the chance to say no to Utd,
he's taken the opportunity to rub salt in their wounds.
With a spending spree over £80 million this season, Manchester City have shown their ambition -
they want to break this "Top 4" and plan to do so, with a shower of new forward players being
bought. The strong, determined and talented Tevez will add to the height power of Santa Cruz and
Adebayor, while the pace of Robinho and Bellamy will be crucial.
So the first leg of the champions league play off is out of the way and i must say tonight i am
somewhat satisfied. I feel as if tonight we played a great game, broke down celtic but also
scrapped when needed. I was very imperesed once again with our centre back pairing and was also
very pleased to see some eagerness and ambition going forward.
Watch World Cup qualifiers live here.
International press conferences at the best of times tend to be mundane, by the numbers affairs
filled with platitudes by the key figures within the national side. Not much changes when it comes
to conferences prior to World Cup qualifiers, or even the finals itself, but within the words
always lies a common train of thought: There are few, if any greater honours in football than
representing your country at the World Cup.

The Game Third defeat away from the Emirates, not good for a team with our ambition. Arsene
Wenger's solution to start with a very offensive midfield and Eduardo up front just didn't work
out. Aaron Ramsey ...
So says L.E. Eisenmenger of the ever curious US Soccer Players website, in an interesting but
rather speculative piece about the supposed lack of sophistication of MLS fans about the
international soccer world, starting with the claim that "MLS fans may be unaware of international
rivalries and even of the relationship between MLS and the National Team.
I had the privilege of ordering some products from Soccerpro.com. And i was very pleased. I order
two articles of clothing. The Italian national team jersey made by Puma and the Italian national
team sweat jacket.
I loved the products as much for their quality and for their symbolism.Seeing my son at the Dinner
table in his Puma Jersey with four stars emblazoned over the National team crest is exhilarating.
Whilst his unhappy wife is a concern, the good news today is that Nemanja Vidic has pledged his
future to United until he's in his 30's.
After Carlos Tevez's recent shameful behaviour, it's good to know there is still some loyalty
left in the game!
"My wife Ana is unhappy with our lifestyle in Manchester but I am not going to change my
mind as I am happy with the team and Manchester and the club's ambition for next season," said
Vidic.
Manchester United have signed Michael Owen on a two year deal. As the rumours mounted that the
former Liverpool player was about to join us, the opinion on him was split. RoM rang a poll which,
at present, 2007 people voted on.
39% felt that he's a good player and the fact we're getting him on a free makes it a win-win
deal for United.
So it actually happened. It's been rumoured for a few days, the odds yesterday dropped from 22/1
to evens and now it's happened; Michael Owen has signed for Manchester United. In doing so he
becomes only the fourth player since WW2 to play for both Liverpool and Man Utd in his career.
Undoubtedly and almost instantly making him a huge hate figure over at the red side of
Liverpool.

CHAMAKH NEXT FOR ARSENAL
Arsenal are widely expected to pursue Bordeaux's Marouane Chamakh if and when Emmanuel Adebayor
completes his move to Manchester City.
I have to say I don't know too much about Chamakh but here's a few thoughts on the potential move
of K2 to Citeh from both sides of the equation.
Gareth Barry has rejected accusations from Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez, who suggested the
England midfielder's move to Manchester City was motivated by money.
Barry left Aston Villa to join City in a £12 million switch at the start of last month after
snubbing long-standing interest from Liverpool.
Ex-Arsenal defender Kolo Toure believes the best is yet to come despite a disappointing season
last year.
Speaking to Manchester City's official website, the Ivory Coast International said:
It is always difficult to leave a place where you have spent eight years and had good times but
I felt the time was right for a new challenge and I am still at an age, 28, where I feel I am at my
peak and will play my best football
For me it was time to move but only for the right club and I feel that Manchester City is that
club.
Emmanuel Adebayor has committed the ultimate sin. Leaving a big four club for a side with
ambition to join the elite clubs in England. For this, and his actions on the pitch in Saturday's
4-2 City win at Eastlands, he must be banned for life from English football. Arsenal fans deserve
justice.
The Game Third defeat away from the Emirates, not good for a team with our ambition. Arsene
Wenger's solution to start with a very offensive midfield and Eduardo up front just didn't work
out. Aaron Ramsey ...
It exacts the strictest discipline
To truly take it easy
Yet still retain the minimal
Quiver of ambition
Required for consciousness.
That's what I've been working on all morning,
Stretched out on the couch,
By the cabin window at Bob's,
Watching the rain,
Without pattern,
Fall on the pond,
Just me and the dogs.
Despite reports linking Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic with a move to Real Madrid this
morning, it would appear the move won't be happening.
It was rumoured today that the Spanish giants were preparing a £30 million bid for for the Serbian
international, however Vidic's agent has moved quickly to deny the rumours.
We've seen some pretty outrageous claims so far this summer, but The Sun has perhaps
suggested the most unbelievable transfer claim thus far. They are reporting that Arsenal striker
Robin van Persie is a target of - wait for it - Manchester United.
Sir Alex Ferguson is apparently watching the van Persie situation unfold with a very keen eye,
and The Sun reports that Fergie could make a cheeky bid for the "£20 million rated
striker.
Adebayor moves to City. A five year deal, worth £25 million to Arsenal.
I think Adebayor and Tevez hired the same PR person. It would have been refreshingly honest, if
just for once they said it was all about the money. But on cue its never about that.
"People who think that I have joined City for the money are wrong," he asserted.
Has Arsene Wenger lost all of his ambition or does he just not care anymore? After Arsenal lost
to Manchester United in May, I published an article about how Arsenal needs to learn a lesson if
they want to improve and win something again. Part of that lesson was to focus on improvement and
not accept stagnation.
League Two side Notts County are in talks with Sven-Goran Eriksson about becoming their director
of football.
Earlier in the month, Middle-Eastern consortium Munto Finance took over the club and laid out a
set of ambitious plans, with the ultimate aim to "bring success back to Notts County Football
Club.
It was an announcement that made many people check their calendar to see if it was an April fool.
But no it is true; Sven Goran Eriksson has joined Notts County.
The Nottingham side play in League two, England's basement division, and finished a lowly 19th last
season. But after years in the doldrums a recent take-over by a Middle Eastern consortium has
breathed new life into the Magpies (I blogged about their takeover on this site a few weeks ago.
Is the reason that Sebastien Bassong will not play in tonight's friendly against Leeds United that
he is close to moving to Tottenham? Seb Bassong-On his way to Tottenham? Sebastien Bassong has been
the most outspoken player at Newcastle about his desire to leave the struggling club. He cites his
ambition to play top flight football [.
Kolo Toure has followed Emmanuel Adebayor to Manchester City and left Arsene Wenger in desperate
need of some defensive cover.

The Ivory Coast centre-back has penned a four-year deal at Eastlands after City agreed a
£16million fee with the Gunners and it leaves Wenger with a defensive hole to plug.
