striker Craig Bellamy has been signed as the brand's first football ambassador. In a unique deal...
Reports in this morning newspaper claim that Peter Schmeichel is coming back to United in the
role of a club official ambassador. He joins the likes of Sir Bobby Charlton, Bryan Robson and Gary
Neville who travel the world promoting Manchester United.
"Schmeichel Back To United" was originally published at The Republik
of Mancunia.
"Respect who you're playing against, if you don't, for sure you'll lose."
Says the legend who always played with no fear between the posts. Euro 1992 champion and former
Manchester United star Peter Schmeichel has been appointed as Carlsberg's Global Ambassador for
Euro 2012.
The beautiful game happens in India....

Chandrima Chatterjee is the program director for Street Soccer USA a non-profit that seeks to
improve the spirits and lives of the homeless through soccer in Philadelphia, but most recently
here charitable work as an ambassador for Yuwa took her to Jharkland, India where she witness how
the beautiful game was impacting the lives of young women in a notoriously difficult part of the
world to grow up and even exist in.
The best part about being away from your feeder club (i.e. AS Roma's Bojan) is
the inevitable fact that you become its Ambassador! When Bojan scored in the 62nd
minute of Roma's 5-2 victory over Novara yesterday, he lifted his shirt to reveal this message :
"All the strength of this goal is for Abi" (Eric Abidal).
TweetManchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has threatened to unleash Roy Keane on Manchester
City ambassador Patrick Vieira. Vieira angered Fergie after suggesting that the Premier League
leaders always get refereeing decisions given in their favour this being concomitant to their
current league standing.
TweetManchester City ambassador Patrick Vieira is in the firing line after suggesting that
Manchester United get special treatment from referees sparking angry responses. United defender Rio
Ferdinand was amongst the most vocal challengers to Vieira's comments, which, incidentally, the
former Arsenal and Inter Milan midfielder believes has been taken out of context.
Patrick Vieira launched a bizarre attack on Manchester United last week, claiming we must be
desperate to bring Paul Scholes out of retirement and that we wouldn't have lost our young stars,
like Ravel Morrison, in the past. In just the few months since Scholes returned, he's already
scored more goals than he did last season, and Morrison getting shipped off to a Championship club
where he doesn't get a game after we didn't offer him a new contract is hardly "losing out" on our
young players.
Who would you prefer as the new No.2 to Arsene Wenger at the Arsenal? Pat Rice is calling it a
day as the manager's right-hand man and a new assistant will be recruited in the summer.
It is generally accepted that Arsenal fans would prefer a former player, someone with a bond
with the Gunners, as an ideal replacement for the stalwart Rice, who has been at the club – save
for a spell at Watford– for 44 years.
Earlier this week, Manchester City ambassador, Patrick Vieira, claimed that Manchester United
showed "weakness" in bringing 37-year-old Paul Scholes out of retirement.
In just the few months he's been playing, Scholes has already scored more than he did all of
last season and has been an important player in every game he has featured.
Chicago Fire defender Dan Gargan, boisterous about the Fire's chances always on Twitter, goes
video with a build-up to Saturday's game.
As Brian McBride has retired, the ambassador gauntlet has been thrown down. Gargan is running
with it.

Hello there. Finally starting to get back to my daily routine back home after the long trip. A
journey that was worth every single penny spent. The experience will be penned out hopefully in the
next few days and if all goes well, will be up at the Arsenal Collective website.
The World Wildlife Fund wants Messi to wear a Real Madrid jersey for a day
If I supported Real Madrid, I'd be pumping up my bike tires as I type this. In an effort to
spread awareness for Earth Hour, which is an hour of "uniting people to protect the planet", the
World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has celebrities teaming up with the organization to help spread awareness
of Earth Hour and promote sustainable habits.
Arsenal 7-1 Blackburn Rovers
It may sound a tad melodramatic, but I've not enjoyed watching Arsenal as much this season as I
should have done. All the peripheral stuff has been as fun as ever the Saturday morning
anticipation, hopping on the tube, having a pint before the game and chinwagging with the usual
motley crew.

It was only a matter of time before the living Barbie became a real Barbie, wasn't it?
Proud husband Rafael tweeted some pics of the Sylvie Barbie that was unveiled at a toy fair in
Germany today.

The news that John Terry has been included in England's preliminary 23-man squad for the
forthcoming friendlies against Sweden and Spain leaves manager Fabio Capello with a huge decision
ahead of the naming of the final squad on Sunday.
Capello is to consult with senior FA figures over Terry's fate yet while the allegations of
racism in last month's match against QPR hang over Terry there can surely only be one conclusion to
these meetings.

Customers, onlookers and fashion criminals strolling through Stroili Oro on Via del Corso in

The World Cup is going back to Brazil, which means we're surely due for an unforgettable
atmosphere, but it also means we're going to be subject to Pele's ramblings on the entire universe

he's just not going away.
Oh Mario, you are a character aren't you? Whether it's throwing darts at youth team players or
speeding in your Maserati, picking up countless tickets and fines along the way, it's setting off
fireworks in your own house, sneaking into a women's prison due to ‘curiosity' or even proving to
be the good samaritan, aiding a bullied child who was at a Manchester City training session when he
should have been at school.

It's so ironic, it simply must be fattening!
As we creep toward Bonfire Night and stupid children start dreaming about doing stupid things
with over-the-counter explosives, Man City have started a club campaign called TREACLE to promote
firework safety this November and who better to front that campaign than a man who nearly lost
everything (on his towel rack) at the weekend in a fireworks-related house fire?
