We've not been able to do our extremely popular Mexican Soccer Cheerleaders / Porristas feature for
a couple of weeks now because of the safety measures imposed in Mexico due to the swine flu

The city of Baltimore in the state of Maryland; has everything you want in a fabulous downtown
area. The seafood in the marina, historic buildings and museums, the Aquarium and of course their
great history in their professional sports teams like the Oriorles of Major League Baseball &
currently the Ravens of the National Football League.
The FSSL season starts today and I am going to give you a heads up on the clubs who will be
battling it out for the Premier Division title. The division grows by two sides this season to a
total of eight clubs. Of the six teams in the division last season, last place Valrico SC is not
returning. Three new clubs join for 2009-10 including OFK United Serbs, Largo United, and Real
Sarasota.

Offside and myself have been hosting the Total Football Soccer Show on WRIR, and posting the show
as a podcast on Podcast Offside. This week's show (first broadcast on Thursday, October 22) was
completely lacking in professionalism.
Inside Minnesota Soccer had learned through regular reader Lighting Striker, AKA Neal, that
Minnesota has an entry to the amateur side of the US Open Cup and that game will be played today at
NSC. According to Ben O'Brien, Vice President of the Minnesota Soccer Association, the parent
organization of all adult amateur soccer played in the State, that team is a 4th division MASL team
called the Minnesota Hawks (not the Blackhawks).
The Third International Amateur Soccer Tournament- aka The Challenge for the Tiffany Trophy Cup
- is going down in Washington, DC until April 11th for a select group of 17-year-olds. This year's
roster includes the D.C. United Academy Team, Blackburn Rovers FC of England, El Deportivo Saprissa
of Costa Rica, Chivas de Corazón of Mexico, Real Madrid CF of Spain, Pachuca FC USA Internationals
(Potomac, Maryland), Freestate Soccer Alliance Elite (Bowie, Maryland), and Great Falls A ‘91
Elite (Great Falls, Virginia).

The National Sport Center (NSC) has released a statement today outlining their progress
in fielding a pro soccer team for the summer of 2010.
The NSC has released this document to Inside Minnesota Soccer. The NSC hopes
soccer fans across Minnesota and the US will understand the seriousness of NSC's commitment to
bring Division II soccer back to the Twin Cities.
