Liverpool has joined the race for Dijon midfielder Benjamin Corgnet, according to French sports
daily L'Equipe.
The 24-year-old who was playing amateur football two years ago, has already attracted the interest
of Lyon and Newcastle United, with the pair consistently linked with the midfielder.

The Bethlehem Steel FC tour to St. Louis in December of 1916 for the unofficial title of
"Champions of America" was not the first time a Philadelphia-area team had made a trip out West.

It is entirely appropriate that Ipswich Town should have chosen last Saturday's home league
match against Barnsley as an opportunity to rename their South Stand as The Sir Alf Ramsey Stand,
for this month marks a very special anniversary in the history of the club. It is fifty years ago
this month the Ipswich Town became, against all odds, the champions of England, an achievement made
all the more remarkable for the fact that just five years earlier they had been playing in the
Third Division South of the Football League and was playing its first ever season in the top
division of English football.
This is the most idiosyncratic of recent commercials, but then it should be, as Hansa 07 is an
amateur club from Berlin home of quite the artistic community. It's unlikely to get any national
airtime, but it's a quirky little spot befitting a club of the nature, displaying, among other
things, regular guys struggling to do a few pushups in slow motion.
