This post was originally supposed to be about the São Paulo football club called Corinthians and how cool their name is, but then as I started to do research I discovered that it was actually named after a legendary English amateur side. Founded in 1882 by Nathan Lane Jackson, then the Assistant Secretary of the Football Association, the club was originally formed with the intention of challenging Scotland's football supremacy in the UK.
