One rumor making the rounds in the NBA has the Philadelphia 76ers interested in Amare Stoudemire of the New York Knicks. Although Stoudemire is off to a slow start this season, another team may want to acquire him and surround him with better players.

That said, that team is not the Sixers.

New York Knicks rookie bigman Josh Harrellson got the start on Saturday night and was really impressive as the Knicks defeated the Sacramento Kings. He had 14 points and 12 rebounds, while nailing 4-of-8 from downtown. In the fantasy basketball world, those stats look like gold for a player available on the waiver wire.

Amare Stoudemire was out due to injury and the New York Knicks were on the road to take on the Sacramento Kings. It turned out to be a walk in the park for the Knicks, who rode Carmelo Anthony's 23 points, seven rebounds and five assists to a 114-92 win.

The Knicks also got 22 points, seven rebounds and three blocks from Tyson Chandler, while Landry Field chipped in with 21 points and five rebounds.

Amare Stoudemire is a walking injury concern. Just a couple games into this shortened season, Amare Stoudemire has sprained his left ankle. The injury took place during the New York Knicks game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night.

Earlier today, an NBA trade rumor had Chris Paul getting traded to the Boston Celtics. The deal would have sent Rajon Rondo to the New Orleans Hornets. However, according to sources close to Chris Paul, the Celtics can quit their daydreaming because Paul won't sign an extension with Boston.

Without an extension, the Celtics wouldn't do the deal.

Amare Stoudemire has been outspoken about his supposed Jewish roots. He even traveled to Israel to learn more about his heritage. Now there are rumors that Amare Stoudemire is thinking about starting a Hebrew school.

At Amare Stoudemire's Hebrew school, the teaching would focus on the Hebrew language and other aspects of the history of the Jewish people.

The New York Knicks and their fans thought they hit the lottery when they acquired Carmelo Anthony from the Denver Nuggets. However, a funny thing happened on the way to the Knicks dynasty. Instead of getting better, the Knicks have gotten a lot worse. They've lost six straight games and the team looks totally lost.

The new-look New York Knicks are built around Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudemire and Chauncey Billups. However, to become a good team, they need role players to step up and contribute. On Thursday, Toney Douglas did just that to put it mildly. New York's backup guard buried nine three-pointers on his way to a game-high 29 points as the Knicks demolished the Grizzlies, 120-99.

The West lead early in the 2011 NBA All-Star Game. Despite a late run by the East, the West was able to take home a 148-143 victory. The West was led by Kobe Bryant's game-high 37 points and game-high 14 rebounds. For his efforts, Kobe Bryant was the MVP of this year's affair.

Kobe Bryant got help from young stud Kevin Durant, who poured in 34 points on 23 shot attempts.

The 2011 NBA All-Star Game is beginning to take shape. On Thursday, the NBA announced the starting lineups. Though there is no huge snub in either conference, it is notable that neither conference's best team (the Boston Celtics in the East and the San Antonio Spurs in the West) has a representative in the All-Star game starting lineup.
