Yesterday on the Major League Soccer Talk Podcast, one of our guests Jamie TYrecker of FOX
Sports articulated an opinion which I happen to believe is well founded regarding the lack of
player development by the USSF despite having a well funded and staffed National Academy in
Bradenton, Florida.
It was the first weekend of matches in the 2009 SuperLiga which includes teams from the Mexican
Primera Division and Major League Soccer. Several MLS teams showed their strength with victories
including the Chicago Fire and the New England Revolution. Here's a recap of this past weekend's
