So much came out of the Seattle Sounders' 2-1 come-from-behind win over the Chicago Fire Saturday night. Let's start with the obvious.

First, Seattle now has a seven-match unbeaten streak in MLS play.

A lot could change tonight in Seattle after tonight's clash between the Seattle Sounders FC and the defending MLS Cup champions Real Salt Lake. For one its a chance for RSL to leap over Columbus and LA for the top spot in the league's overall standings and take possession of the Supporter's Shield race.

Tonight Leo Gonzalez went home while wearing the Sounders Electricity Yellow. Unfortunately, he went home early when he puts his studs into the groin of the opposition. His high follow-through on a routine pass was unnecessary and risky, and the Red was deserved. Not surprisingly, the Sounders went from looking like a competitive team that could snag a road goal and win, to a team that was being dominated.

The Sounders are pretty much in a do-or-die situation tonight, and there's even a possibility that no matter their result they could be eliminated from advancing out of the CONCACAF Group Stage.

This match could very well be the last gasp effort in this season's attempt at any success and a late playoff run. Win and whatever slim hopes of postseason play are kept alive another day. Lose or draw and any realistic chances of capturing the eighth and final playoff spot are out the window. Seattle defeated the Fire 2-1 on a late Fredy Montero goal on August 28.
