Real Madrid are preparing to spark another summer transfer battle with Manchester United
by launching a £20million move for Patrice Evra.

Spain coach Vincente del Bosque has announced his provisional 30-man squad for
the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
There are a few surprise call-ups, notably for Barcelona starlet Pedro and
Atletico Madrid's 19-year-old 'keeper David de Gea, who are both in with a chance
of earning their first full international caps for La Furia Roja in South Africa this
summer.

May of us have our own views on where this season when wrong. Here's mine
Let me take you back to the end of last season.....
We had a good season in which we ran the old rivals Man Utd close to the Premier League title;
and it was time to start making plans for next season.
There won't be the time to do this for every single team, particularly with coaches trimming the
fat like they're, well, trimming the fat, but this one's a rather big one one half of the favored
duo at the World Cup, you could even say.
Vincent Del Bosque has laid down his 23 who have the chance to firmly bury the past somewhere
deep in the heart of South Africa, and though there are a few surprise omissions, all the big boys
suffering from niggling injuries (or just plain injuries) such as Cesc and Fernando have been
called up.

Quedaron fuera de la lista definitiva de España Santi Cazorla, Dani Güiza, Álvaro Negredo,
Marcos Senna, Diego López, David de Gea, y César Azpilicueta.

Should he become the new coach at Real Madrid , Jose Mourinho will look to make Chelsea
left-back Ashley Cole one of his first signings.
Spain have never won a World Cup but this year most of the world think the Spanish will finally
win it. Most of their first team play for either Barcelona or Real Madrid, with thirteen of their
23 man squad playing for La Liga's top two clubs. The squad played beautiful football in Euro 2008
and have only lost once since their victory in the final, against the USA at the Confederations
Cup.

It is relatively well documented that Real Madrid need a new left back, a position that has not
been adequatey filled since Roberto Carlos lost his form and left the club. Over the past few
seasons since that happened the Spanish giants have tried to replace the legendary Brazilian left
back with an assorted combination of players.

Rafael Benitez does not expect his Liverpool transfer kitty to be adversely affected if his club
does not qualify for the Champions League this season – only because he has precious few funds to
play with in the first place.
Benitez was advised at the start of the season that he could do little more than spend the money he
generated, hence the purchases of Alberto Aquilani and Glen Johnson only once outgoing deals for
Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa had been settled.
Xabi Alonso - When He Turns it On, We Turn it On.2 Madrid derbies, 2 victories. Last night,
we took our derby success over Atletico to 12 years. It seems that '2' was last night's magic
number as Xabi Alonso (22), Alvaro Arbeloa (2) and Gonzalo Higuain (20) all found their names on
the scoresheet as we romped towards victory: maintaining our pressure on Barca and our La Liga
winning streak as well as our home winning streak.

Things remain the same in La Liga as Real Madrid answered Barcelona by winning the capital derby
3-2 against Atlético Madrid. After falling behind in the first half courtesy of a goal by José
Antonio Reyes, Los Merengues settled down and were able to answer back with goals by Xabi Alonso,
Alvaro Arbeloa, and Gonzalo Higuaín.
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has called on the club's hierarchy to find some investment for new
players after agreeing with Fernando Torres on the failings at Anfield.
Torres has let it be known that allowing the likes of Xabi Alonso, Alvaro Arbeloa and Sami Hyypia
leave last summer has proved costly in the Reds' miserable campaign.
Fernando Torres admitted a spate of summer departures "messed everything up" for Liverpool FC.
The sale of midfielder Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid for a reported £30million has been widely
criticised as Liverpool FC's difficult campaign has unfolded, with his £20million replacement
Alberto Aquilani struggling for fitness all season to the frustration of manager Rafa Benitez.
Pure insanity.

Real Madrid are planning another record breaking transfer deal this summer with a
£120million offer for Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
It is a deal which is designed to send shock waves through world football as Real Madrid plan to
upset their fiercest rivals by going for their best player.

Cesc Fabregas and Fernando Torres have been included in Spain's 30-man preliminary squad
for the World Cup finals in South Africa.
While two of Spain's best offensive weapons are recovering from injuries, both Cesc Fabregas and
Fernando Torres were included by coach Vicente del Bosque to the 30-man preliminary World Cup
roster.
Following Monday's squad announcement, doctors stated that both players are recovering well from
their injuries as they look to be ready for South Africa.
Unfortunately, despite our lobbying in the form of sending chocolates to Uncle Del Bosque,
Bobojan was not called up to his provisional 30-man la seleccion outfit. However,
we're incredibly happy that Victor Valdes was called up because he's such a nice
guy, and thoroughly deserves it.

Not sure we'd class the recent revelations by Sopitas.com about the Spanish National Team as
"secrets". To us, that would mean information about which bedtime stories Sergio Ramos reads to
Pedro, and whether David Villa is buying S, M or larger-than-medium-but-still-not-Large-size
underpants.
If you ask José Luis Astiazarán, the President of the Spanish League of Professional
Footballers, then the answer is an unequivocal "yes". Why? Because, according to him, Spain's
success is a result of "hard work with youth setup" that the LFP had done to promote "homegrown"
talent in Spain.

According to reports scoured across the Internet, Spurs boy wonder Gareth Bale is the subject of
a potential Real Madrid transfer bid this January. Should the Spanish giants make a move for the
Welsh winger, Tottenham and Harry Redknapp would be foolish to let their young prized possession
leave White Hart Lane regardless of the transfer fee involved.

Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque has chosen to omit Barcelona midfielder
Xavi from his squad for their upcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers with Lithuania
(October 8th) and Scotland (October 12th).
The undisputed master of the five-yard pass has been left out due to worries over a persistant
Achilles tendon problem.
Using figures taken directly from the club's accounts (i.e. the ONLY accurate figures avialble), I

Gillett.
Earlier in the week, I wrote an article looking at the veracity of Tom Hicks' claim that he and
Gillett had spent £300m on players.
