Say hello to Lara Alvarez. She's kind of the new Sara Carbonero, in as much as she's a very cute
Spanish TV reporter with a taste for 'ballers. I bet Sara hates her.
The word on tabloid street in Spain is that she is dating Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.
The Comets first game winning goal at home...The Missouri Comets were happy to notch their first
home win, even if it did take overtime. " A monkey off our back, it wasn't the prettiest game out
there, but we certainly found a way to win" Coach Roentved commented post game. The Comets jumped
out to an early lead with a goal by Byron Alvarez just 40 seconds into the match followed by

The Comets' improved defense came at a price as they failed to muster any sort of offense in a
pivotal match Sunday afternoon at the Independence Events Center against the visiting Vipers,
falling to the visitors from Omaha 6-4. The six points by the Vipers were the least amount of
points allowed by the Comets all season long, but the Vipers stifled the Comets offense all day
long, holding the team to just four points, the team's lowest scoring output of the season.
It took overtime, but the Missouri Comets picked up their first home win of the season tonight as
they beat the Chicago Riot 11-9 in overtime. Things started extremely bright for the Comets, as
just 39 seconds into the game they found themselves up 2-0. Vahid Assadpour found Byron Alvarez
unmarked at the back post and Alvarez slotted home to give MO a very early lead.
Barcelona will look to return to winning ways after their Copa del Ray defeat to Real Betis when

In a game that was a tale of two halves, the Comets fell short at home, losing to the Baltimore
Blast 15-13 Saturday night at the Independence Events Center. Things looked pretty bleak for the
Comets after falling behind 9-0, but the team fought back valiantly with a flurry of goals in the
4th period in one of the team's most intense and exciting games of the year.
The game was action packed. There were momentum swings, great saves, not so great saves, scuffles
and the strangest winning goal I have seen in an indoor soccer game.Omaha jumped out to a lead when
Comets keeper Boris Pardo's pass was intercepted by Moojen who did not miss the wide open goal
despite Pardo almost making it back in time.

Hercules coach Esteban Vigo believes his side can upset all the odds and complete a double over
table-topping Barcelona. The reigning champions were undone 2-0 at the Nou Camp on matchday two as
a brace from Nelson Valdez gave the newly-promoted side a famous victory.

The Comets looked good for long periods last night against the Wave, but couldn't hold the lead
when they needed to and fell to the Milwaukee Wave 17-16. The Wave were the more adventurous team
early in the quarter and found themselves deservedly up 2-0 as Marcio Leite fired a ball to the
back post that Hewerton chested into the net as he was unmarked.
