En una de mis últimos post que realicé aquí en SoloTigres hice el comentario que Tigres debía de encarar la liguilla con el mismo equipo que enfrentó la liguilla del año pasado (obviamente tomando en cuenta que Danilinho no está y a Elías Hernández en su lugar), ya que al menos en mi opinión era el mejor equipo que podía pararse dentro de la cancha con todo respeto para Edno, Pulido, Toledo y algunos otros jugadores que han estado peleando los puestos de titulares.

Un lleno en la Arena Grand Garden vio la función de Kings Rings, el aficionado observo como Saul Canelo Alvarez enfrentaba con Juventud contra experiencia en el ring la pelea Canelo vs Mosley .

El retador salió agresivo y logro en algún momento cortar al mexicano,pero fue leve y los golpes del Canelo fueron mas contundentes, sin lograr mandar a la lona o ganar por KO técnico al estadounidense.

Day 4 began with Barca Atletic (Barca B) training at 10:45am at Cuitat Esportiva. They started with the typical rondos (circle keepaway) and dynamic stretches. Second activity was tactical training preparing for this weekend's opponent who will likely press them off their goalkicks, marking all 4 of there options closely so they cannot play out of the back comfortably.

Another year end award for the Missouri Comets. For the second year in a row, the Missouri Comets have the MISL MVP after Byron Alvarez won the award last year. Geison becomes the second player for the Comets to win both the scoring title and be named MVP. Geison finished the season with 90 points, including 38 goals to win the scoring title.

The Comets came up short to Milwaukee 9-7 Sunday afternoon at U.S. Cellular Arena, ending their 2011-2012 season in the Central Division Finals.
As in Game 1 of the series, the Wave's second-half defense was spectacular, allowing just one
Comets goal.
Both teams seemed reluctant to take early risks as most of the first quarter went by with no
scoring and few chances.

The Missouri Comets went into the half against the Milwaukee Wave on top, but a poor second half saw the Comets get played off the field as the Comets lost 27-10, and now have themselves a big hill to climb on Sunday needing to win both the game and the mini game to advance to the finals.
The first quarter though saw both teams come out incredibly fast, the game started at a break neck speed, the game was end to end.

The Milwaukee Wave have had the best record in the Major Indoor Soccer League all season, but aren't in the best form heading into the postseason.

Byron Alvarez scored six goals and racked up 13 points – the most by an MISL player this season – as the Missouri Comets thumped the Wave 21-6 in a regular-season finale watched by 4,182 fans Sunday afternoon in Independence, Mo.

The Missouri Comets closed out the regular season today against the Milwaukee Wave at the Independence Events Center. After the events of Friday where the two teams ended the game in a shoving match, everything was lined up for an extremely physical game. That did not disappoint either, as the two teams combined for 13 blue cards today.

With First Kick only two weeks away, the MLS Preseason is coming to a climax in Arizona's Desert Cup.

In the first of two games this past weekend, LA overcame a nine-man RSL 2:0, with goals from Paulo Cardozo and Mike Magee. Salt Lake's ejections included an immediate red for Ned Grabavoy in the 70th minute after a a rough tackle on Marcelo Sarvas, and a second yellow for Yordany Alvarez in the 77th for a challenge on LA's Cardozo.

The Comets saw their 5 game winning streak snapped tonight at the Independence Events Center as a poor 3rd quarter doomed the Comets to a 15-14 loss to the Wave. In the first quarter, the Wave were the more aggressive side, pushing the game on the Comets, but were not able to find the net early on. The Comets had their chances as well, but they to couldn't get a goal.

Without three players that put in a large number of minutes for the team today, the Missouri Comets built a 13-5 lead by late in the 4th quarter, but had to hold on late to defeat the Rochester Lancers 13-11 for their 5th straight win.
The Comets were without 3rd leading scorer, Vahid Assadpour, Cristiano, and recent signing Bato Radoncic today as they took on the Lancers.

The Missouri Comets had gotten their magic number down to 1 on Friday with their win over the Baltimore Blast. They didn't wait long to make make that magic number 0. The Comets took care of business today in Milwaukee, defeating the Wave 17-14 to punch their ticket to the playoffs.
The Wave grabbed an early 2-0 lead on the power play less than 5 minutes into the quarter.

The Missouri Comets magic number for clinching a playoff birth this year is now down to 1, after an 18-9 win over the Baltimore Blast at the Independence Event Center. The win, coupled with a 6-3 loss to the Milwaukee Wave in Milwaukee leaves the Comets 1 win or 1 Wichita loss away from clinching a spot in the playoffs this year.

By the end of the Wednesday night's contest at the Independence Events Center the scoreboard looked more like that of a blowout football game rather than a soccer match as the Missouri Comets routed the Syracuse Silver Knights 33 to 12. The Comets showed every indication that they're starting to hit their stride as they improved their record to 11-8 and continued to make their playoff push to secure the second spot in the Central Division with their second win in a row.

It was a big night for the Missouri Comets as they set multiple records at the Independence Events Center in their 33-12 rout over the Syracuse Silver Knights. They set a team record for the largest margin of victory since the teams rebirth, with 21. They tied a league record with 3 players recording a hattrick (Byron Alvarez, Geison, and Vahid Assadpour).

The Missouri Comets found themselves in a position they've been in quite a few times this season, trailing by a few goals with little time left in the game. Last night in Milwaukee it was the 9 points as the Wave took an 11-2 lead early in the 4th quarter before the Comets made a comeback to cut the lead to 11-7 by the final whistle.

Two days after the Comets fought back to defeat the Wichita Wings in a close game at the Independence Events Center, the Comets found themselves having to do it again against the Wings, this time in Wichita. Unfortunately the result wasn't the same as the Wings pulled off a 12-10 win over the Comets to get their first win in the series.

Stifled for two and a half quarters by a stingy Wings defense and a stellar effort by Wichita's goalkeeper, Senaldo, the Missouri Comets were down 7 - 2 and perhaps one more Wings goal from being out of the game and disappointing a large holiday week crowd of 4,583 at the Independence Events Center on Wednesday night.

The Comets looked like they were going to give the Wichita Wings a leg back into the Turpike Trophy competition between the two teams. Poor shooting and some good goalkeeping Sanaldo had the Comets facing a 7-2 deficit heading into the fourth quarter, but 4 unanswered goals saw the Comets pull out the 10-7 win taking a 3-0 lead in their series with the Wings.
