Steve Cherundolo will have hip surgery next week in Germany to fix a problem that has kept him out
of action for the last four games, his club Hannover 96 reports. Cherundolo featured in games on

Hull City has taken Jozy Altidore on loan for the duration of the 2009-10 season, subject to a work
permit. Altidore joins up with the Tigers just weeks ahead of the opening of the Premier League
season. Should he gain a work permit, Altidore will be available for selection in Hull's opening
day game against Chelsea.

2009 out with a big win. Jozy Altidore's team hasn't beat Real Madrid in 10 years, but with the
reigning champions struggling this could be the weekend where that changes.
Both sides are level on 29 points in the table and a win here would strengthen either sides claim
to second spot in a congested top half of the table (excluding Barcelona who are currently 10
points clear of Atl.

players go. Hooray for the January Transfer Window!

Monday according to Xerez' website. With Villarreal's squad returning to full fitness after some
early season injuries, Altidore has found playing time hard to come by in recent weeks so hopefully
this move gets him some experience with the side that is currently leading the Spanish second tier.
