The only away side to win their first leg, Bordeaux are in a great position as they host Greek side, Olympiakos. If they can win the tie they will be the second side from Ligue 1 to qualify for the Quarter Finals, tying them with the Premier League for most teams in the Quarters.

Les Girondins have lost their lead in the domestic race and now sit tied on points with Montpellier, although Bordeaux have a match in hand.

Romania were on course to earn a point by defending with 7 or 8 players in the box, but as the game wore on, it looked like their self-belief grew, and they wanted to go for all three. They came so close to getting the opening goal in the second half: Lloris was nowhere close to a shot that, luckily for France, hit the post.

Four starts for Lloris, Clichy, Mexes, Rami, and Malouda. Alou Diarra has been used as captain for the three most recent matches. Diaby started three, and missed one with injury. Benzema has started three, and looks like the best option up front by some distance. Sagna and Reveillere look interchangeable at right back.
