This week I chatted with Dave Clark of Sounder at Heart, SB Nation's Seattle
Sounders site. Clark and I discussed various things about the teams, including broadcasters. Some
very good tactical information about how the Philadelphia Union can exploit the Sounders' defense
this afternoon.

Real Madrid well and truly have sealed the La Liga title of 2011-12 season with a 2-1 victory at
the Camp Nou. Khedira and Ronaldo scored for the away side taking them 7 points clear of the
defending Champions. It was the first victory of Real Madrid under Mourinho against FC Barcelona in
the league, incidently it was the first victory for Mourinho at the Camp Nou.
For the second straight game Colorado was shutout in a loss. This time it was only a 1-0 loss,
actually one of our better games in Seattle as you'll see below, but you only need to give up 1
goal if you can't score.
Honestly Seattle should have been up at least 1 within the first 15-20 minutes.
Saturday the Sounders did exactly what the coaching staff asked them to do. They won a road
point. The result and the gameplan were as cold and calculated as a professional foul. Sigi
Schmid's roster choices, substitution pattern and tactical approach to the game were consciously
designed to earn a point and potentially steal a win.
That was the headline that might have been. It was almost perfectly set up. Two
Sounders had gone down previously with boots to their nether regions. On comes Marc Burch, fresh
from slagging off United in the media, only for Sigi to give him just two and a half minutes to
prove what he couldn't in a handful of years with DC.

Just as the sun began to make an appearance in the gray Spring sky just in time to dip below the

thanks to the Houston Dynamo at Seattle Sounders match. The more famous Colin Clark anti-gay slur
incident earned him a three game suspension, but there is more fallout from the game now. After
post match review Adam Moffat is suspended for his next match and fined due to "a reckless
challenge which endangered the safety of his opponent" (Osvaldo Alonso).

Después de haber caído en la capital ante la máquina celeste, tal parece que Vuce apretó
las tuercas del equipo, en base a ese ajuste nos ha dado como resultado un equipo ofensivo sin
complejos ni temor al ofender, antes se decia que Suazo era la única opción adelante, pero en
los recientes cuatro partidos hemos visto una gran cantidad de variantes.
El día de ayer Monterrey se enfrentó al colero general del fútbol mexicano, y le jugó como
tal; goleándolo 4-1 con una buena actuación, sobre todo en el segundo tiempo. En la primera parte
Rayados batalló, y es que el rival también juega, pero al final de cuentas salió a relucir las
individualidades de nuestro equipo, y Querétaro terminó sucumbiendo.

Liverpool crumble to new lows after losing at the Stadium of Light. The reds now have 39 points
from 27 games, the very similar stats they had last season as well minus the heavy spending this
summer. What is more shocking is that despite spending 40 odd million just on attacking options
(Not to forget the 58 million spent on Carroll and Suarez in January 2011) the
club has only been able to score mere 30 goals, 5 less than premier league current leader Robin Van
Persie alone.
