Panic ye not.
Our mighty and classy club has not taken a leaf out of Totteringham's book and released a DVD
celebrating our third place finish.
It's just that a movie title caught my eye the other day and I thought: "That would be the
perfect title if you made a movie of our season."
The title was, of course, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

There are a fair few players who are surplus to requirements at the club. And there are a few
positions we could murder some reinforcements in. I think that both these things are fair to say.
Incoming, we already a thoroughbred German with a trillion national caps and a very decent scoring
record indeed.
The curious case of Manuel Almunia by Richard B. Strength in depth is always something that

Arsenal Keeper In Despair Because Of Wenger by AM Arsenal's second string goalkeeper Lukas
Fabianski has grown frustrated until the edge of despair for the lack of games he had at Arsenal
ever since his fellow Pole Szczesny took over the first team spot. Fabianski is even more
frustrated with the club because according to [.
It is being reported this morning that Arsene Wenger has finally decided who he wants to bring in
as serious competition for Wojciech Szczesny next season. Manuel Almunia's contract at Arsenal has
now finished, and Szczesny's Polish backup Lukasz Fabianski has already indicated that he wants to
move to play more first-team football.
There have much rumblings amongst Arsenal fans about the erratic form of the young Pole Wojciech
Szczesny, especially after his clumsy performance against Norwich, and many Gooners believe that
perhaps a little more competition may get him to raise his game a little. As we all know, Manuel
Almunia is finally getting taken of the [.
The players that will leave and come in next season Part 1 by KJ An interesting comment by

comment was based on the idea of working out who exactly would leave this season and then [...]
Dear Gunners Our Faith has been tested during this season like never before, its been dubbed as
Arsne Wengers toughest season ever, His worst ever, where some gunners and the media labeled
Arsenals new recruits panic buys, Calling Arsenal a sinking ship. And now and then we'd be told by
the other team*** to mind the gap.
So, who exactly makes up Arsenal's ‘deadwood': by SV It is accepted by almost all Arsenal fans
that there is deadwood in our team that needs clearing out in order to free up space both
financially and in terms of squad size for new, more useful signings. I thought that I'd use
today's [...]
The line "I would do anything for love, but I won't do that" comes to mind when listening to
Arsene Wenger in today's post-match press conference.
"I must say we will do anything to keep him. I cannot say much more because I have said that
many times," said the manager, who was adament he would keep Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri last
summer.
Reading all these stories coming out the Arsenal Supporters' Trust meeting last night that
Arsene Wenger has a £50millon transfer kitty. That is not really true. Yes Arsenal made around
£50millon profit, but not qualifying for the Champions League will cost the club £45millon,
wiping out the cash balance.

This season has seen the emergence of Wojciech Szczesny as the undisputed no.1 at Arsenal, and for
the first time since the departure of the Invincibe Jens Lehmann, we have a world-class keeper in
our squad. But do we have a decent enough deputy to the young shot-stopper? The answer is quite
simply a big [.
All Premiership clubs have to name their playing squad for the rest of the season at the end of the
January transfer window, and Arsenal have released their list today. On the goalkeeping side,
Wojciech Szczesny, Lukasz Fabianski and even Vito Mannone are included but Wenger hasn't even
bothered putting Manuel Almunia on the list [.
I have spent the last season and a half bemoaning the boo boys, this week I was not alone as
Arsenal fans rallied round our beleaguered manager and club in an attempt to rid us of the
discontented.
But today as we prepare ourselves for our pilgrimage to the red half of North London it is time
to consolidate, stand side by side and live alongside each other in harmony.

The Spaniard Manuel Almunia has dropped to third-choice goalkeeper at Arsenal, but in a rare
interview he has stated that he is simply keeping to his contract and has had no thoughts of
leaving, in fact he hasn't even spoken to Arsene Wenger about his position at the club! The two
Poles, Wojciech Szczesny and [.

Over the last few seasons Arsene Wenger has gathered an assortment of players, paid them good
wages and has waited for them to deliver. Unfortunately, they have not delivered the goods nor have
they developed into the world class players we thought they would turn into.
For a few transfer windows we have been expecting these players to be sold, but the ridiculous
wages, for their limited wages has meant we have not been able to get rid of these deadwood
players.
Slow news weeks, obviously. Still, a couple of tidbits are noteworthy. Find out which legendary
French striker is held in high regard by Gibbs and why our next transfer target could be a 16 year
old. More after the jump.
When Thierry Henry re-joined the Gunners at the start of the month, there were questions
regarding his potential worth to the team, but also his effect on the team chemistry that has
progressed leaps and bounds since the start of the season- it's obvious that this is one of the
most closely-knit and cohesive Arsenal team in years.
After Vito Mannone moved to Hull on loan there was some suggestion that he had made available a
space for non homegrown players to arrive.
Unfortunately this isn't the case. For the 2011/12 season we named five homegrown players over
the age of 21, and 17 (the maximum allowed) non homegrown players.

One week into the transfer window, I wish there were more concrete transfer new items to share.
But instead, it's just the same rumors we've been reading for the last few weeks, for the most
part. I'll start with players making exits, or rumored to be making exits.
Vito Mannone is now on loan with Hull, and he played today against Ipswich in an FA Cup win.

Let's face it - we all love SZCZ. Since Jens was dropped in 2007 (in my opinion ill-advisedly)
we've had to put up with some of the less convincing goalkeepers in Arsenal's history, namely
Almunia, Fabianski and Mannone.
I think everyone, including Wenger, is aware that Arsenal need to bolster the squad in the
upcoming transfer window. Few agree on the exact details but defence and striker appear to be two
positions where most would want reinforcements. I was thinking about the possibilities while
looking at the current squad and it seems like a very complicated situation for the Gunners.

Given Arsene did his whole, 'I don't know what you're talking about routine', when questioned about
the potential return of Thierry Henry in the press conference on Friday, I would be very surprised
if we do not announce that we are re-signing Thierry on a two-month loan-deal very soon, probably
in the first week of January.
Turn the clock back to 2010 in the match at St Andrews against Birmingham City. Samir Nasri had
just netted what looked to be the winner in the match. Just seconds from time, on their last
attack, Birmingham found a half decent ball for Kevin Phillips. The veteran came up with a scuffed,
poor effort [.
I was speaking to an old friend recently, who is also a fan of the Arsenal, and he was pleading
the case for us to sign Gary Cahill in the January window. An idea which he seems to share with
many of his fellow Gooners (or so it seems looking at blog world!), and this got me thinking about
the current squad and the strengthening options open to Arsène come January 1st.
The Polish keeper Lukasz Fabianski is not happy being left on the bench behind his young countryman
Wojciech Szczesny, and has made it clear before that he needs to be playing first-team football at
Arsenal or he will miss out on going to the Euros with Poland. Now Fabianski has revealed that he
has had [.
Of course with no football on during the InterLull, so its time for the press to create some
Arsenal transfer news to keep the fans interested in reading! And so today's Arsenal rumours
roundup comes exclusively from talkSport, who seem to have a fixation on the Gunners today. First
off all they have Arsene wenger [.

Last Meeting West Brom 2-2 Arsenal
We return to the Emirates tomorrow to welcome an old fiend, West Bromwich Alvion, now headed by
Liverpool legend Roy Hodgson.
With Wojciech Szczesny in such fine form for Arsenal it comes as no surprise that both Lukasz
Fabianski and Manuel Almunia are both looking for new clubs. Fabianski is instructing his agent to
find him somewhere new and Almunia looks as though he will be asking the Gunners to extend his
current loan at West [.
Transfer deadline day looms and Arsenal are still in the market for midfielders, this is not
idle blog gossip but Arsene Wenger stated we are short of players in this area. This became
self-evident in recent games were the creativity has been left to Rosicky and his best days are
behind him.
Today is a day we will all go mad in following rumours and tweets.

Well it was an early start as I had to get my eldest boy, Luke, to the ground for 0930hrs, as he
was due to meet the squad as a thank you for been a ball boy last season........So Reece, my
youngest, and I were at the ground nice and early with little going on, supposedly there was meant
to be more happening, but perhaps the rain stopped that.
With the season fast approaching and yet another summer passing without the departure of Almunia
and without the arrival of the much craved experienced custodian I thought it would be a good time
to assess our current goalkeeping line up against the rest of the top four wannabes.
So let's look at our current crop first.
It will certainly be interesting to see who Arsene Wenger gives the Number One jersey to in
Arsenal's first league game this season. Lukas Fabianski was the first choice after Manuel
Almunia's last ballsup, until he got injured (by Szczesny!) and the Pole is keen to win his place
back. He is now fit again [.
