Maurice Edu told Rangers manager Walter Smith that there is talent in them thar Yanks; with the USA
set to face Brazil tonight at the New Meadowlands, Rangers second-in-charge Ally McCoist will be in
New Jersey to scout the possibilities.
Specifically mentioned are Alejandro Bedoya and Benny Feilhaber.
ESPN has revealed the commentator assignments for its coverage of the 2010 World Cup.
The big one, the match that everyone is talking about featuring England against the United
States of America, will include Martin Tyler as the lead commentator and John Harkes as the
co-commentator (June 12, 2:30pm ET, ABC).

ESPN's radical decision to dump American commentators in favor of several British based ones has
created much consternation among the supporters of the game stateside. Those reared on the domestic
game and American commentating styles decried the move away from the traditional nationalistic
fervor around the World Cup to a more objective based analysis provided by the likes of Ally
McCoist, Efan Ekoku, and others.
Watching Robert Duvall's Scottish football "epic" A Shot At Glory the other night had me mulling
over the problem of football and the movies.

According to The Gazette, Rangers defender Kirk Broadfoot
admitted that he turned down an offer from Blackpool before signing a new
three-year deal with the club. Broadfoot said,
"The thought of playing in the Premier League with Blackpool was appealing .
Sky Sports News understands that Liverpool is on the brink of signing defender Danny Wilson from
Rangers.
Ibrox manager Walter Smith revealed to Sky Sports News reporter David Tanner that the two clubs are
in advanced stages of discussions and have only the transfer fee left to agree on.
Smith also said the move could be sealed as soon as Tuesday evening, which would leave 18-year-old
Wilson free to link up with the Reds at their Switzerland training camp.
Ally McCoist has flown to America to run the rule over a batch of summer signing
targets.
The Rangers No.2 jetted out to New York yesterday along with midfielder Maurice Edu and will
watch the USA friendly against Brazil at the New Meadowlands Stadium tomorrow night.
