The University of Colorado soccer team will be the No. 3 seed in the Big 12 soccer tournament,
which starts at 1 p.m. (Mountain time) Wednesday against sixth-seeded Texas at the Blossom Soccer
Complex in San Antonio.

On Sunday, the Buffs came to play.Â
After giving up two goals against the run of play in a 2-1 loss to Illinois on Friday, the
University of Colorado soccer team pummeled St. Mary's 8-1 on Sunday afternoon at an invitational
tournament hosted by the University of Denver.
And the turnaround from Friday was almost instant.

Senior forward Kelly Menachof and freshman Erin Bricker scored as the University of Colorado
beat Northern Colorado 2-1 in an exhibition on Sunday in Boulder.
In the third minute of play, CU sophomore Caroline Danneberg sent a perfect cross to Menachof,
who took one touch then buried her shot in the lower left corner of the goal.
