The royal club from Madrid have probably regretted selling excellent Dutchman Arjen Robben. The
new Bayern starter had a dream debut at Allianz Arena, where he got the chance in the second half
against current champions Wolfsburg and made the best possible use of it.
„Flying Dutchman" inherited the jersey with number 10 on it from his compatriot and
natural-born scorer, Roy Mackay.
German giants Bayern Munich have announced that Stuttgart striker Mario Gomez will be moving to the
Allianz Arena this summer. Bayern made the offer for Gomez immediately after their 2-1 win over
Stuttgart on the final day of the season. Barring a few technicalities, the deal is virtually
through, and it is estimated that Bayern will [.
The Audi Cup took place for the first time ever this year. Invited by AUDI AG, four teams
played in a total of four games in the quest for victory, meaning that each team could be witnessed
in two matches at the Allianz Arena in Munich. FC Bayern Munich and Manchester
United prevailed in their respective semi-finals on 29 July.
China may have all the world's jobs, but today it was a strong Manchester United team that had
all the goals. The Red Devils put on an impressive performance, and slaughtered Huangzhou with four
goals in the first half. Michael Owen (two goals), Dimitar Berbatov, Zoran Tosic, Nani, and Ryan
Giggs (three goals) all got their names on the scoresheet, but it was Berbatov that really
shined.
Luca to Link Up With Zola – According to Toni's agent.
Gianfranco Zola's search for a new striker was boosted today with the comments made by agent of
Bayern Munich and Italian forward Luca Toni. Zola has been in market for a new striker since the
departures of both David Di Michele, who returned to Torino after his loan spell came to an end and
Diego Tristan who left on a free transfer to sign for Cadiz of the Spanish Segunda Division.
Preview of this weekend's important Bundesliga fixtures! FC Bayern München v FC Köln This
Saturday's bundesliga clash between Munich and Cologne should be an interesting one. Former FC
Bayern striker Lukas Podolski will make his return to the Allianz Arena after his summer sale to FC
Köln. Podolski spent three years in Munich but were [.

Germany striker Miroslav Klose has revealed that he would like to join either Liverpool
or Inter Milan when he eventually leaves Bayern Munich.
The 31-year-old has scored goals consistently throughout his career, netting 44 and 53 in the
league for previous clubs Kaiserslautern and Werder Bremen prior to signing on the dotted line at
the Allianz Arena.
Only one current US National Team pool forward has proven he can contribute at the highest level
in the World Cup. That forward is Josh Wolff often maligned but never forgotten. An attacker of
rare speed and technical skill in the American setup Wolff's reunification with Curt Onalfo a
longtime national team assistant in Kansas City has sparked a revival a compelling revival.
Manchester United will join Boca Juniors, AC Milan and Bayern Munich in the Audi Cup, a two-day
competition held at Munich's Allianz Arena to commemorate Audi's 100 anniversary.
United will meet Boca, Carlos Tevez's former club, on July 29th. While Milan take-on Bayern the
same day. The winners will play each other in the final on July 30th.
Its not going well for new coach Leonardo at AC Milan. Their torrid pre-season preparations have
continued as they were thrashed by Bayern Munich in the Audi Cup.
With Leonardo employing a 4-4-2 formation, , using Ignazio Abate on the right wing with Ronaldinho
supporting Pato, it was not clicking for Milan as Bayern forward Thomas Muller opened the scoring
after just 12 minutes and they looked in complete control for the entire first-half.
I would have thought that Franck Ribery and Franz Beckenbauer now finally agree on something.
The French sensation should have been sold. Der Kaiser has watched new manager Louis van Gaal take
a measly 2 points from his first 3 matches, and, following this weekend, the kings of German
football are sat in a rather peasant-like 14th in the Bundesliga.
The matches to watch after you realize Real Madrid were handing out No. 10s like a imbalanced
ice cream man hands out half-melted popsicles. And Jose Mourinho doesn't seem too pleased with
that.
Saturday
Chelsea v Burnley at Stamford Bridge The giant killers take on their next challenge, but this
time they're facing an in-form giant and on that giant's home turf.
With the Ballon d'Or nominations finally releasing this weekend, the headlines have mostly been
devoted to the fact that world champions Italy have no representation whatsoever. But why blame the
press for paying excessive attention to an irrelevant detail? After all, the award itself is
destined to be heading Lionel Messi's way, which means very little is there to be talked about in
terms of debating the winner, right?

Manchester United are being linked with a possible January move for Bayern Munich full
back Philipp Lahm.
While Bayern Munich players were trying to get used to the management style and new age thinking of
Juergen Klinsmann, three other teams tried to prise away the Bundesliga title from them. These
three teams were Wolfsburg, Hertha Berlin and Hoffenheim. They have succeeded, a new champion will
be crowned this Saturday.
This week marks the fourth anniversary of the opening of the Allianz Arena (or Fußball Arena
München for UEFA-organised matches), home to FC Bayern München and TSV 1860 München and made
famous during the 2006 World Cup. A number of remarkable photos of the stadium's unique aesthetic
have appeared on Flickr over the years, so today we take a look at it from up close, afar and in
all its colour-shifting glory.
Bayern Munich teammates Luca Toni and Frank Ribery have a little fun at Allianz Arena. If I spoke
both French and Italian, this would be a lot funnier!
Kenny Cooper netted his second goal with the Lions in spectacular fashion, however their defense
was badly overrun as Karlsruhe cruised to 3-1 victory in the Allianz Arena.
Football bloggers are busy today. We have a wide array of topics on the plate, including last
night's win of Arsenal over Celtic, bitter journalists, the Champions League draw, and the
obsession with younger players in the football community. Take your pick!
Bird scorned
Ageing, battle scarred, chippy, inarticulate.
Done deal apparently.
Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben has confirmed he has accepted an offer to join Bayern
Munich.
The Dutchman's future has been the subject of intense speculation all summer following the
arrivals of Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka.
A return to England has been mooted for Robben with Tottenham credited with an interest in the
former Chelsea star, and in recent days Manchester United have also been linked with the
player.
The matches to watch after you realize that calling him "Leonardo No Win" is almost too true and
too mean to be funny...almost.
Saturday
Manchester United v Sunderland at Old Trafford United eked out a midweek Champions
League win over Wolfsburg and Sunderland have shown they can be dangerous.
The matches to watch after you realize that, if for just this weekend, the suspension of
Chelsea's transfer ban is far less important than the match on Sunday. And that I told you so.
Saturday
Tottenham v Sunderland at White Hart Lane Jermain Defoe returns from suspension and
Aaron Lennon might appear, although this will really be Darren Bent's show as he visits his former
team.
Luca Toni departed the Italian league back in 2007 but it looks as if the striker could be
leaving current club Bayern Munich pretty soon.
Toni was subbed at half-time in the German giant's 1-1 draw with Schalke and reportedly opted to
leave the Allianz Arena rather than watch the second-half from the bench with his team mates.
It seems that Thierry Henry might be keeping Rafa company, as it's a possibility that he won't make
this match either. The team trained yesterday in the Allianz Arena where they'll be playing later
tonight, but Titi couldn't join in and stayed behind at the hotel with a high temperature. It's
doubtful that he'll make the match, but nothing has been announced yet.
All goals and highlights from the Bayern Munich v Barcelona UEFA Champions League second leg

It was time for the European games, and Liverpool had a mountain to climb as they took to the
pitch at Stamford Bridge, without the presence of their inspirational captain Steven Gerrard, who
was out through injury. To even the playing field, the Blues were missing John Terry due to
suspension.
After a slightly slow start, the Reds got their act together and hammered in two before
halftime, due to an intelligent free kick by Aurelio and a penalty by Xabi Alonso.
Michael Bradley and Borussia Mönchengladbach head to the Allianz Arena on Saturday to take on
Bayern Munich. The game is a big one for both teams - 'Gladbach are trying to jump clear of the
relegation zone, while Bayern are looking to keep pace with the leaders at the top of the table.
It's been a newsworthy week in Munich, with a coaching change and talk of Ribery leaving the club.
Croatian winger Danijel Pranjic has hit out at current club Heerenveen as they hold out for more
cash from Bayern Munich thereby putting in jeopardy the 27-year-old's dream move to the Allianz
Arena.
The free-scoring Eredivisie star could now search for other alternatives with Liverpool already
known to have been monitoring his progress this term.
The once untransferable Franck Ribery is now for sale. It is just going to cost two arms and
two legs to get him.
Bayern Munich President Franz Beckenbauer has touched on the Ribery transfer topic quite a bit
this summer, and his latest statement claims that Ribery is available to any club willing to spend
€94 million ($133.
Fergie has every right to be a happy manager following the team's latest pre-season victory which
came against Boca Juniors in the Audi Cup semi-final in the Allianz Arena last night. New signing
Atonio Valencia scored on his debut, the Ecuadorian's finish wasn't exactly exemplary and
Abbondanzieri in Boca's goal will know he should have dealt with it, but if there was an element of
good fortune
Kenny Cooper has been sold to Bundesliga II side TSV 1860 Munich. FC Dallas, Cooper's former club,
announced the move to season ticket holders today. There were rumors in previous weeks linking the
striker to Bristol City of the English Championship, but this interest tapered off. Following his
play in the Gold Cup last month, however, Cooper has secured his return to Europe.

Wow!!!
I know that I haven't been to all of the great football stadiums of Europe, very few as a matter
of fact, but I have a hard time believing that there possibly could be a better place to watch a
football match in the world than Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. I was blown away.
Now, to be sure, the experience could have been much greater.
Wissen Sie, was mir so richtig gut getan hat?
